didn't u just make a similar post? anyways dont double post, mods will get pissed off, even tho they pretty cool :D
and about selling it, try in the "3geez marketplace"
i suggest reading the rules, and FAQ's
got some pics of the turbo 3g?
seriously, need proof, tho i believe you just wanna see.
ya pics would be nice
let me guess, is it the dark red (or maroon) accord 4 door with the custom made turbo mani?
ACtually I bought the car from a guy in Cali, had it shipped here, and when the car got here... :uh: The manifold is "custom", along with the intake, and the turbo...its a joke. Off of a '88 Corolla GTS. I goes slower when you put your foot in it. Bought it for $1300, sold it for $1100. So, dont think I am trying to impress anybody with the "turbo" talk. BAD idea...turbo on a carbed A20A1! :rocket:
What's wrong with carbs? You can turbo them something must have not been right.
Nothing was right. But, I just found a guy that has a 89 Accord EFI turbo, I believe stock motor, and wants to trade! He says mine has "potential". I have some pics that I'll get up when I trade him. I have to do it on a host site right? :thumbup:Quote:

what do I do? Links to CarDomain.com arent working
They work just not proper. That is a fuel injected car though.Did you buy it off ebay? That car was on there a while ago. There is a big thread about it somewhere.
I traded for this car with a guy that JUST bought it. I have no clue where it has been. He may have bought it on EBay. My last threads that said, "there is a guy that wants to trade...etc" for some reason didnt post until I logged on today. That was yesterday. So I got the FI Accord, and havent really driven it too much, and have not updated my CarDomain page. I just loaded the pics. I cant get a decent pic cuz its dark now. Let me know what U think... :ugh2: :thumbdn: which one?Quote:

i tried posting the pix for ya, but of course they aint working right for some reason. anyway, i know some of y'all want to see it. yes, this is the one that was on ebay maybe a year or two ago. just go here to his page if you havent figured out how to go to properties and paste that into the address box. looks cool to me. only thing i might know to be wrong is the computer wasnt tuned to match the extra air intake from the turbo. so it would run way to lean.
boosted accord!
And when you go lean your motor goes poop :)
oh, what about the tranny? so it has a centerforce clutch. what stage? any special rebuild that you know of that it has maybe had? looks un-intercooled. that will lead to short engine life, but then again so does a turbo. heat kills. cool car anyway, i'd like that. a turbo sedan.
well my fellow 3geez members...it looks like I have been had!!! I have done some researching, and YES this car was purchased on EBay a while ago. And it was sold 3 times since then because there is NO WAY TO BUILD AN ECU or engine management program to boost up the air/fuel mixture. My boy says it has about 1000 miles before it go poopy! :uh:  :rocket: anybody wanna buy a turbo 3g? lol....sighQuote:

So if you want to keep your car i suggest talking to the others here that have turboed there cars. In the mean time i would stop driving the car to prevent futher damage.
yeah...I will think about digging. But honestly, the car is still pretty slow. The guy I got it from says it was dyno'ed @ 248 hp on a Mustang Dyno. If anybody knows anything about those dyno's, they run low on hp and high on torque. Well, I have had a 120 hp stock Talon that would have walked this car. This POS is at the MOST 175-180hp, and at 2800lbs. Its a dog. I will take all the suggestions I can get. But, I will probably pawn it on some poor high school kid. I feel bad already!!! lol...Quote:

I dunno why everyone freaks out when it comes to engine management. Did you know you can build up an aftermarket system with fully programmable fuel maps, programmable open and closed loop, ignition timing control etc etc etc for 1/2 the effort of trying to trick your ECU to fuel the engine? It'll run you a bit over a grand but WTF turbo ain't cheap and you can reprogram your shit from street to strip in a few minutes. Your system cannot run any better than with a programmable ECU with the right sensors (pyrometer or O2 sensor, MAS or MAP, and probably some kind of wastegate control (I'm not too farmiliar w/ turbo setups but with at least the sensors, ECU, and good injectors/FPR/pump you can do anything))
Look at Holley Commandos or an Electromotive setup (mainstream stuff) and there's lots of other engine management systems out there, be creative!
At least get a system that measures positive pressure in the MAP sensor or get a MAS system from another [turbo] car. The "poopie" happens because the stock fuel system does not monitor the positive pressure in the intake and does not add enough fuel to mix with the extra air mass or enough to get the combustion temps down on hard acceleration. When the car goes to open loop it stops monitoring the mixture and reverts to baseline fuel maps that have a margin of safety good enough only for the stock equipment (did u know some turbo cars even fire the injectors on the exhaust cycle just to add more fuel to cool the engine, not for combustion). For now just get a lower temp thermostat and retard the timing a bit if you hear rattling noises on acceleration
BTW I like your car it's nice.

thanks for the links...I checked a few out. the problems with this car run beyond the ECU...the manifold along with the turbo heats the engine compartment to like 4,000 degrees...my fan comes on and it is jsut sucking hot air, I have no more room for an electric fan, and.....finally...for some shitty reason the boost is backing up into the turbo...(i have a new BOV, wastegate, and there is nothing else that seems to be behind it. :stick:
Well there must be some blocker up cause I added an old linking address in front of the image location and it helps in that you don't need to cut and past the url to see the pics but they still don't show with the IMG tags... If there is a way to do it directly then I'll find it... it used to support the links.
Anyways just click on the links and they should show up... in netscape or explorer... no more cut and paste.
Its not that hard to make it run rich. Unplug the fuel pressure regulator there a 2-4 lbs of fuel pressure right there. Bigger injectors from a j-yard I here you can run upto 310cc on the stock ECU. If your real quick trick the Map sensor ethier by vacuum side or electrically to run a little rich mid throttle.
Retard the timing a little 2-3 degress be fine. looks like its got a Crane I think you can set that to retard by RPM steps.
Run good gas splash some 100 octane in there. Ping it your dead.
Check and see if the cats still on the exhaust it might/prolly is plugged from running shitty. Go big as you can with the exhaust that helps temps alot on a turbo.
Run cold plugs, tight gaps, check them alot it will tell you hows its running if you learn how to read them
As far as the heat GOODLUCK.. Everyone here's turbo crazy till they learn all the down sides.
wp
shit not me....i admit i would like to have turbo but the money would stop my plans..it's already hard enough for me to convert to efi...somewhat.
but what makes you think that you have like 1,000miles left on the engine...sorry if i sound like a newb.
I am running super lean. BUT...I tried the fuel pressure regulator thing, and my top end is like 40hp faster. As far as injectors go...I have 400cc 's and my exhaust is cat-less, 3inch w/ high flow Flowmaster made for turbo Diesels. So...my blockage, I found, may be coming from the leanness of the motor. If I run this lean for long.... :thumbdn: goodbye.... BUT...i SOLD THE CAR...IT WILL BE SHIPPED NEXT WEEK...SO IT IS A MUTE POINT.
