Some lowlife tried to steal my car a couple of years ago, but we caught him in the act. He ran off, but the police caught him later that night. well the cops found it it looks like they had a hard time driving a stick cause my clutch is completly shot, the only thing they took was the face plate to my stereo and my sub and fucked my alarm up but i got it back ill prolly be selling it or parting it soon but i havent made that descion yet but as of now its in front of my house just sitting

ya i think its a wake up call for me too. my alarm stop working a few months ago. I'm not to worried about the car getting stolen to much in my house during the nights because i park behind 2 other cars. so if they want to take my car they are going to have to get into 2 other cars before they get into my car. i am worried when I'm at school. i go to night school so my car is at the schools parking lot. and no one is there during the night to look out for the cars. i guess i better start taking the MOMO steering wheel off when i go to school:)
A kill switch if properly done is the best. I just read an article about how, even with a new Lexus, 2 guys that know what they're doing can be gone in 2minutes. They cut into the wiring harness and reprogram things with a laptop. Even they would be frustrated by a simple kill switch.

well it looks like they had a master key nothing was really dameged on the inside they did pull the flip cover on my tape holder other then that it looks fine

Dude make sure you get a club too for it. The alarm is cool but it is better to have double protection. They are dirt cheap at Walmart. I'm glad to hear you got your ride back man.
Hey nothing wrong with carbs, LX are 4 ever. Hope you can recoup and upgrade stereo, screw them. everything happens for a reason. Do get a kill switch though, my black key happened to fit another LX I was getting parts off of, with a little cut I can see where a master key could be made to fit a lot of 3G pretty easy.
What kind of alarm did you have installed?
I hope it's not the same model as mine, then I'd be scared for my car.
Maybe you can check ebay to see if someone is selling your subs in your area, then call the police.

I dont get it, doesnt the alarm stop the car, when I was getting mine installed I had it done at Futureshop basically Best Buy, different branding in canada, owned by Best Buy anyways I was an employee so I got half off and when he was doing it he asked me if I wanted a ground something which wont let the car start if the alarm is tripped or if the alarm is not deactivated. I have also tried. My car wont start without the alarm being deactivated. And I was looking at him doing it and all it was, was one or two wires.

i hate to say it man but those cheap appearence mods (IE: Clear corners, flashy rims, window tint) just draw nothing but attention, in a negative way. Im glad you got it back in one piece though, i know what its like to have somethin jacked (my $900 amp, while my car was in the driveway). If you have full coverage, get a qoute to get the clutch fixed, and any other damage that occured, then total it out, buy it back. Fix it up.

Nobody cares about alarms though, it's so common they are just ignored even hated... Alarms where I live go off for 5 10 minuets at a time and no one in sight.

Damn dude sorry to hear about the incident.
My 87 LX got broke into a couple years back and some shitbag jackass(s) tried to steal it.
They took the broken CD deck that I was replacing the following day and some miscellaneous tools but couldn't steal the car because, well, I had the battery on my back poarch charging up.
I would had loved to had seen their face(s) when they couldn't get the car started, they had the entire ignition ripped out.
