Remote start and keyless entry
I just got a remote start and keyless entry put in my 89 SE-i. I highly recomend this to anyone with EFi and elecrtric locks. Soon after I had it put in the temp went down to zero degrees F and we got 6 inches if snow. My car was warm and windows clear while my co-workers were scraping their windows and getting into cold cars. Just wishi I would have done it sooner.

Re: Remote start and keyless entry
Ziebart had a Christmas special for $319 installed for the remote start and keyless entry. You can get one for about $75 if you want to put it in yourself.

Re: Remote start and keyless entry
$75? damn you are getting ripped off.
go on ebay. this is what i got my wife 2 years ago and it works like a charm.
http://cgi.ebay.com/DIRECTED-BOA-265...QQcmdZViewItem
it is easy to install them on our cars as long as it is auto and not 5 speed.
the company that made that one is the same one that makes viper alarms and other great stuff.
I have rattler (same company) keyless entry in my car and it never failed on me.
here is the companies website http://www.directed.com/
just on ebay and do a search for Boa or Rattler.
here is rattler http://cgi.ebay.com/Rattler-Remote-S...QQcmdZViewItem

Have you tried adjusting the back brakes first or inpecting them, sometimes that is what happens, the self adjuster for the two rear brakes will get froze, unless of course you have rear disc brakes. :)

Re: Remote start and keyless entry
haha. my 3g was free (to me, at least). and besides, it's not the best looking car out there either nor is it a prime candidate for a b-swap or to strip for parts (because i have stock stereo + stock covers on my pioneer speakers). and i have no rims or body kit, and the fart can craze has passed. and hey, an alarm is an alarm. if it does the same exact thing as one that costs ten times as much, might as well use it.

wait, I thought you said you got a deal on your Honda(s)
wtf
nobody wants to steal you 20 year old POS, unless you talking about 3K in stereo. lmao
Besides 30 dollars, 150 dollars, you would really be surprized how many of the same components are inside with these relativley unsophisticated electronics.

Re: Remote start and keyless entry
I install remote starters and audio equipment for a living and the best R-S that I know of for a 5 spd. is a Compustar, and they're actually reasonably priced. If you don't know how to put it in yourself, make sure you go to a reputable installer who will actually run the proper relays for the clutch switch and also install the ready mode, so that if you left it in gear it won't be able to start.

yeah i wouldn't trust $30 alarm, but there is nothing wrong with remote starter and key less entry for that price.
any alarm can be bypassed. it take a thief 60 seconds to steel your car.
in our case, probably less than 5 seconds even with alarm.

Thets thrue... Mi frend told me about one gue thet steels MB S-class in a mather of seconds. So i think thet no car thief want to steal our cars atlass you got kickass stereo with badass wheels. i see no ather reason. Besides 30$ alarm is beter then nothing, atleast it will defend agenst kids who steels for joyride and dump it.

Re: Remote start and keyless entry
well, I am using $30 alarm and it works great since the last 6 months. nobody actually wants to steal my car though. they actually depends a lot on how you install it. $200, alarm if installed incorrectly, is just as useless as having no alarm

very fair statement, a pro will not be interested in an old HOnda unless he know it has a B18 or something in it.
The worst problem is kids, right now we have a rash of car break ins, it is gang initiations and truth or dare type things. A 30 dollar alarm will give you enough money left over to support your 40mm Glock:gun:
