Post phrases/questions/comments you've gotten with your car

Like the title says, post comments/questions/phrases that people have said about your car. I've gotten quite a bit of funny one's myself.

Here's some that I've gotten:

1. At a gas station paying for gas:
Gas Station Lady- That's a nice BMW you got there
Me- Its a Honda, but thanks
Gas Station Lady- Oh well whatever it is, its nice

2. At a gas station again, a guy comes running over to my car, excited as hell and says.....

"Excuse me, what year is this car. I LOVE this body style, but I don't know the year. I'm looking for something like this."
I say: "Its a '89"
He gives a face of confusion, and says "Really, its an '89? It looks good. Thank you". Then he gives the car a walk-around and then walks away.

3. "Does your car have turbo?"

4. I roll up to my parking spot at school and get out. The guy that parks next to me says "Dude, your car is sick."

5. Deer jumps out in front of me while I was taking my girlfriend home. She says "Well at least we know your brakes work good."

i got one from messy the other day "your car is hella low" lol

i could go on...

i get unusual comments, like is that a real altimeter? and why is it in there? i also get the usual wtf is wrong with your paint?(i guess some people don't understand the concept of getting a car ready for paint) .
I also get a lot of do you race it? which i have to reply over and over,no it's a street car. i don't race on the street.
i aslo get a lot of,i wish i had kept mine!!
also it's an 86? no way!! i didn't know they made cars like that in 86
i also got asked one time if it was a delorean? which i still can't figure out

About once a month: "You wanna sell that?"

from when mine was around

1." whats that thing on the back of the engine" local car meet, someone asking about the carb

2" so when did the civic come with flip up headlights" someone at a local store makeing a coment

3" i thought you said it was a 89?" the guy comeing to pick up the car to take it to the scrap yard

4" this thing musta been fast on the track" same guy picking up the car for the scrap yard as he looked over all my pulled parts


i had alot more but i just cant remember them right now

yes, he was asking lots of questions and such. you gotta remember the car was from florida but i had driven it to maine for a 4 month job, hondas in maine normaly dont last more then 8-9 years due to body rust from the salt on the roads in the winter, i think the no rust clean paint thing shocked him the most

I've also been asked why I drive a chevette, and told that my car looks like a "baby delorean".

Twice now, one worse than the other, this chick is going psycho behind me on the interstate, holding her ears like she is nucking futs, she was scary... I get looks all the time about the sound, which to me, it isnt that bad, it has NO rasping or fart sound, but sounds kinda like a calf calling its momma thru an empty wrapping paper roll, about like a crotch rocket but much less intense and less rpm.
Oh and comments by members here, both good and less favorable.

Gas Station I always fill up at: "You selling your other car?"

Other then that my dad always says stuff like: "Take care of that engine, you got it with..what...160K miles on it and it was perfectly clean.. Its still clean after driving it all summer, take care of it! Hondas don't leak..." He got angry when the guy I'm buying that civic off of said Honda's leak oil all the time lol

Usually I get the silent head-turn with the look on their face like they have NEVER seen a Honda before, or at least a 3gee accord like mine. You all know the "WTF was that!!!" look. Id say the best was this 1 ricer guy was driving past me in his celica with this huge wing, he had this strange look on his face as we drove past one another, his eyes couldn't let go of my car, heh.

I swear...if u guys wana shake up the community here we should hold a meet in my town during the summer! Really turn some heads lol! 3Geez of all kinds are very rare in my County. Older Hondas FTW (sorry about long post lol)

i had a guy ask me if they even made parts for my car any more and then ther was another aske what junkyard i pulled it out of and the guy i bought it from told me i didnt think you could make those cars go fast

"Wow, looks like you've got yourself a pretty worthless car..." my neighbor, right after I bought my Accord (at which point the transmision was stuck, engine wouldn't start, battery was dead, tires were rotted, etc.)

"Why would you ever drive that old thing when you've got a newer car?" Various freshmen who haven't hung around me enough to realize that I can actually like older cars despite the RSX sitting in my driveway.

"When you're ready to get rid of it can I make it into a remote control car?" My engineer roommate. I think he was actually serious.

Yea it was the SE-i but no damage to either vehicle. Only her ego was damaged.
