Next Portland meet planning poll
Im setting up a poll to see who would be down for another meet and what date would be best for them or even if they care when as long as it happens. I dont get down to portland very much anymore so i cant say I know what the happenings are as far as events or things to do. It does sound like everyone had a good time and Im sure we can do the same if we wanted to. But on with the poll. Let me know if youd come and what date works best. i think saturdays are the best days from reading on past events. You can vote for more than 1 so feel free to check as many as youd like. i guess the best or highest number wins?

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'm out of the country at the end of Aug, but none of this should hinge on whether I'm here or not.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Works good for me since It will give me time to save up some money and get my 3gee ready for the long drive.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
i dont think i will make it.....the first week il be out of the country and the 3rd week im going to vegas....so no road trip money
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Pretty much 8th, 15th, or 22nd. The 1st could work but I think I am going to have lot of crap going on. The 29th is no good because the night before is my going away party...
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I don't care about when, I'll make plans around it. I want to know why it can't be in Seattle...
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Ill say as people chime in and we see the approximate location of everyone well decide of portland is the correct place or not. If most people are from the north I dont see why se would want it to be further south. At the same time Bitesize and rendon are the furthest east so fast access should be a mmust for them. I dont care but Ill let everyone else make a comment on to a location.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I think I am the only one who comes from the South. Seattle would be fine for me...
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'm in southern Oregon. That's pretty dang south. I'm good for a Portland meet, though.
I'm thinking middle or end of the month, but I need to figure out when we are camping and rock crawling that month.
I gotta put my Sidekick together and my Honda all the way together before, and I am going to the Rubicon next monday for a week, so it's gonna be a close one!
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
What abouth so cal?:hmph:

-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll

Either way portland seattle or w/e im down
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I have high doubts I'm gonna make it this time... I need to get my Sidekick back up and running for our camping trip, and that's gonna take all my money.

Make it to OSU and we can go the rest of the way in my car! But given recent events I can pretty much make any date. The 29th will be tough though because the night before is my going away party (for the military) and the 30th I have to report to Portland to ship to basic...
Well hell, I won't even have the 3Gee on the 29th because that's the day my woman takes possession of it for the next ? months until I come back to get it. Shit's getting depressing http://houston-imports.com/forums/im...ley%20face.gif
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I need money to fix my car and I need money to get my Sidekick on the road. I'll see what I can do, though.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
man....this thread makes me sad....im not trying to drive 15 hrs for a meet....i need some one to help me drive
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Tha end of tha month would be best for me im finally getting my tranny replaced in tha next few weeks. Somewhere in wa would be better but ill do what i can to make it to portland. Never been to a meet yet and really looking forward to one. so my vote is from tha 20th and up anyday will work as long as tha cars feeling up to it. ill start saving my money now
-

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll

Yes Honda MTF is the best. Get it at the dealer. Or any 10w-30 or similar oils.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Ive always used honda mtf but the manual also calls for 10-w40 or thats what I used in my 1st gen civic
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I assume this meet isn't happening... or not in August at least :crying:
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
id still be game but lets see how many are still interested. i found david larsons address so sometime this summer Im taking a drive to idaho to get my parts back. I just hope hes there to watch!!
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
It would be nice to get a meet together this month. I have a forced relocation coming up thanks to the military so goodbye to 3Geez Northwest soon.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I will have a hard time making it in August, its shaping up to be a really really busy month for me too.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Going to be working solid for the next while, so it's not looking like I can make anything around then.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
as soon as my b20 is burning my tires then we can meet
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
theres a honda tech meet in seattle in september...you guys down.. ...ill be rolling over to check it out with some buddys
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
We need to decide on a date, so I can be sure to take off work.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I don't think I can plan on going to another one for a while, unfortunately.

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'm working on mine right now, but with that last bolt on the intake manifold giving me the finger, I think I'm gonna have to cut the manifold up and make a better setup.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'm running nice and smooth, now. I feel I can make a trip to Portland and back without any trouble.
When's the meet, guys? The only thing I got going on is my system, and I'm a little faster than a perfectly running stock 3g, but that's it.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I think everyone's too busy to make this one. I know I can't go now; I work.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I work 40 hours a week, 8-4:30 and I think I can do a Saturday meet and come home Sunday.:dunno:
What about labor day? I got that day off.

And? :) I work a different schedule every week. I could work 10am-5pm one day, 4pm-midnight the next. I work almost every damn weekend.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Doesn't look like a good sceduel for you, then! lol
When can everyone else meet? hehe.
I heard there were some audio competitions up north of me that I would like to attend. Maybe then?
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I just realized that I work Friday and Sunday and the meet's on Saturday.
I want to go, but my parents don't think my car will make it to Portland and back. I hate being sixteen.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
What meet? I don't think there is a meet till the import tuner show.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Well, the meet is supposed to be Saturday. Sorry.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
im going to seattle the 12 of sept...for the honda tech meet....you all should go
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Where is it? I'd feel so out of place with my car. Stock, piece of crap, barely runs, piece of crap...that can be fixed with some effort.
There's a 5-speed SE-i coupe not too far away with 190k miles for $1,000.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
That's how I feel... I would be soooo out of place, and I don't like being in one spot for too long unless I am occupied, but I think that was the plan for the meet. Honda Tech. Now if there is some racing involved,...

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Me and my bro will be there. We should have a pre meet and roll in together. Charlie ware in seattle you live? Im in shoreline we should cruise down there together.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'm about 4 hours from Seattle but I have nothing else to do with my time so I'm most likely going.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
i'm in the beaverton area... right on the edge of civilization... probably not going to be able to make it to this one, just too far away. And i work that morning.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
So no pre meet? We only got a day or to until tha meet/show are we just gunna show up and try an track eachother down or what?
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I won't be there. I'm going to the dunes at the end of the month instead. Maybe if it was in Salem or something closer.

I'm still thinking about going. It's a long ass drive for me though, so I'd have to get up damn early. I'm just running out of funds. Dentist bill is gonna be horrendous (no insurance) and I just bought some POS old F-100 to fix up and sell.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'd still go for the pre-meet.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
seems like i wont be making it damnit.....car needs a flexpipe and a 02 sensor.....and lack of funds is whats killer.....so sorry guys...next time for sure
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Damn Well i guess its just me an charlie Hope to see someone else i plan on a pre meet at tha mcdonalds. 8515 124th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA Theres tha adress if anyone wants to suprise us and show up. im thinking meet up there around 12 or 12 30 then roll to tha meet.

-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Sorry it took so long to add pics i just got a job and have been really busy. My brother has more on his camera so i will add some more i just wanted to give you a taste on what you all missed out on. I Didnt stay for long there were alot of cops and a supra showed up and got a ticket for doing a huge burnout. AS you can see it wasnt all honda Yes that is a SKYLINE
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Damn i should of gone....o well
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
that skyline looks too square. i would have kept going with the burnout if that was my supra. Make it worth the ticket you know. Thats good someone went and got pics. My car was as usual not ready plys I went to the zoo with the family. I dont remember when I put people before my car but its starting to drive me nuts.
Lookslike a good turnout. Overall how many cars showed up and was it kept respectable or a bunch of shady's lurking around looking for the next car to jack. not very often you see hoods popped anymore.
Well have to plan a west coast spring meet. The eastcoast guys are killing us here.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
true...im down for a meet....
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
There were a whole lot of cars, but the variation was very minimum. I saw at least 50 S2K's.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll

Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I'd be down for a meet. I'm in Boise, but have no prob going to washington or oregon...
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I was thinking north cali if not many canadians are comming. if we are getting quit a bit maybe a central north oregon meeting location. if there is a place closer to central oregon it may work out better for those east of the cascades range. It seemed portland worked good and messy drove like 7 hours to get there. How long did roach drive for. maybe portland is the better location again.
-

Well i didnt stay there very long but wen i was there id say about 200 cars. It was actually pretty respectable there were a few people looking at cars like they wanted to steal them but for tha most part it was good not to many spoilers and bodykits wich i really liked and all tha exhaust was good NO FART CANS!! But then again i didnt stay for tha whole thing.

Im down for a meet i can do portland prolly not cali. Washington would be best.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
So, when's the next one of these? I'm definitely down for a meet.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
October 17th threw tha 19th would be best for me. No work and would get a paycheck in time for tha trip what everyone else think?
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I can probably make any of those days work- Portland or Wash.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
Come on people lets plan something i love meets but im so sick of seeing nothing but 20k dollar cars wit another 20k into them its great but i wanna see some 3geez.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
What about Bend, OR? It's pretty central, and my parents would actually let me drive that far, as long as Mike can prove to them that my car can make it there and back...if it actually can...
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
There's just not a lot to do in Bend. It's like a hang out for rich couples- well it was before their economy tanked. I think Portland is better just because it is closer to Washington, which is where most Northwest 3Geez is from.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
But I think the current meet is more of a West Coast, rather than NorthWest.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
But Portland Has A Drag Strip!! you know you wanna run. i definantly do. havent got a chance yet an tha only other track close i know about is Pacific raceway in Kent,wa. But of course my car prolly wont pass inspection with tha tires i have. ...... And tha leaks
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
it seems the only people chiming in on this are the seattle/ washington type people. maybe we should start a new thread or change the name of this one. If it seems none of the south west people are going to make the drive why make the meet that far south. Pacific raceways has go karts and a huge facility. We could do a washington meet first and go for a west coast meet late summer when everyones cars are tip top.

I like that plan. Id feel better about having a few hundred more dollars into my car before a long drive. Ive never been to Pacific raceway but ive wanted to go for awhile now. How much do they charge for there go karts?

You want to be the host of all this mike?....to me it seems more legit if you where since you know the area alot more...i know how to get to places but not like streets or where abouts..you know...
LETS DO THIS....summer. april,may?
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
april or may? thats kinda far out. Im down at any point and time. if its in april my car should be looking sexy as hell i got a part time job rite now but i should be in truck driving school by the end of this month and finished with it by december. Thatl give me 4 months of great pay an most of it going on tha accord.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
well right now i have to rebuild turbo. fully tuneup....mig weld a spot on the mani...install flex pipe....rear main seal....BUT....if i can just get the turbo rebuild and flex pipe install then i might able to make er.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
i'm down for another meet in april.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
I agree with juggalo; April is really far away.
-
Re: Next Portland meet planning poll
You have to start planning meets months in advance. April might be too far out now, but you can at least start looking now for activities that will be happening and plan it out in your head. It's gotta be more than just a meet if you want people to come. Come up with a good game plan, and announce it 3 months in advance of the actual meet. I would say try to avoid doing BIG meets really often. Keep the frequent ones smaller, then have a once a year blowout kinda thing.
