What is the lowest offset we can run?
Im dropped like 4.00" and running 15x6.5 +40 wheels with 205/50/15.
Im planning to run 16x8 +20 wheels. think i can clear? i dont mind using extended studs or spacers
Umm, the outer rim of those will stick out about an inch and a half more compared to the old ones.
New wheel = 1.5 inches wider, so with the same offset it would stick out 0.75 inches more plus the difference in offset (20 mm). so 19 mm + 20 mm = 39 mm = about 1.5 in
Not going to happen without some major fender work... I am running 15x7 +28mm ET, and had to roll my rear fenders to avoid rubbing (car would not move when lowered because fenders hit tires so bad)
it can be done I am sure, but not without pulling the rear fenders some, and possibly doing something to the fronts as well.
I am running 15x8 at a -35mm offset with 225/45/15 tires. Technically the fenders need to be rolled ever so lightly. but with the stiff susspension and my current drop I dont have to.

Thanks for all your answers guys. My friend let me try on his sport max 501 wheels. 16x8 +15 on 205/40/16 tires. Fronts clear okay, but need a minor roll since i have camber and the back probally have to be cut or pulled. Other than that, I think i can pull off something around +15 offset
Ill post pics when ill upload them. :naughty:
i had a +38 in 205/40/17 on the car and it just rubbed a lil under heavy breaking. just needed some stiffer suspension and it would have been fixed... let me find some pics...

Importordomestic, wut suspension are you running?
i think a 7.5 wide wheel would be the max you could with out having to pull the fenders, you would just have to roll them.
im running weaponR coilovers on tokiko blue's. the springs are from a 97 crv.
and yes they are 8.5'' wide with a +35mm offset.

What size tires you plan on using?
Here are pics with the 16x8 +15 sportmax 501 my friend let me tried on.

^I Loled at that one. haha.
You have fitment issues
lol sorry, your car's dope i just fucking hate poke and stretch.
:( I don't like the sound of those plans :sadwave:
Dont make me start postin' up those vw photos...
i have plans on being flush one day.. but not all stretched and cambered.. just a stiff suspension that will fit a lil closer to the fenders then the 17's did haha....
Sux that you guys don't like camber and flush because i am about to run 15x8 0 offset and slam and camber to make them fit.
yeah I'm sorry but when you say camber and flush...i think things like functionality over form, structural integrity, negative camber for a purpose rather than a form, 205mm=7.0in---wheels that don't fucking poke out of the tires therefore sacrificing the tires' structural integrity lol.
Poke n' stretch is fucking ridiculous. Get tires that fit your god damn rim
Nah i get it. You don't dig structural integrity hahaha.
Dude no hard feelings to each their own.
OP i still think your car is fucking dope keep us updated disregard the light hatred haha
Sorry about the late reply, my email reminder didnt work...idk
Selex suspension in Ontario canada. current quote is 1,650 that is there premium monotube with there automatic valveing system. 1,250 with there manual 28 way adjust. Spring rates are custom. you need to give them your weight and what you are doing with the car. In my case it would be 5kg front and around 3-4kg rear.
You know I said the ame thing. My first car was a 86 LXI hatch, toatled it just like every teeneager does, well most. Then I bought the 88 LXI hatch. She has been my pride and joy. At first i had soem retarted integra body kit on it it was 5 diff colors all kinds of crap. In the end I saw that rice was gay and put it back stock and painted it one color. I built it into a race car, because I like to be different as well. And I respect that.
Personally I like the a mild "poke and stretch",
(God I'm going to get flamed for this)
There is arguably a slight performance increase in a stretched sidewall, Not extreme like a 195 tire on a 9'' rim. But stretching the sidewall makes the sidewall more rigid, by limiting how much the contact patch can deflect on the rim. The tire will then have a better response, increasing the cars turn in and less tire roll.
Honestly the way you want to run the car to get the tire to fit doesn't do anything to help the car and you will probably kill the cars ride comfort and handling. Running -5+ camber front and rear then slamming it, isnt the way to do it.
Cut and radius the fenders to fit around the tire it gives a much better non ghetto look.
Here is a link to a VW guy that did it HE did an extreme version but you get the point. For the record this is exactly how I intend to do my race car when i get ready to lower it some more.
