Project Milenko (Update Thread)
So im mostly starting this up to keep myself motivated with my car. Lets go back to tha beginning i got my 88 lx in Aug. Of 2007 i paid 1000$ and got ripped off. Tha trim was white it had many oil leaks along with to many problems to keep track of. In tha time ive had tha car its sat atleast 70% of tha time. Here is a list of all tha parts i can remember replacing.
Rebuilt Carb
Distributor
Power steering pump/Belt
Clutch/Act 4 puck
Custom cat-back Exhaust with magnaflow race series muffler
Random belts hoses and vaccum lines
Fuel Pump
New battery
Driver side axle
All Motor Mounts
Full Tune-up
And heres tha cosmetic list
"The Great Milenko" Vinyl sticker in rear window
Removed mud flaps
Painted trim/Gloss black
Replaced passenger side marker (It used to be from a 86-87)
Replaced broken eyelids
Replaced taillights (One was missing a chunk and tha other was full of water)
Replaced driver side mirror (Missing a chunk)
Tinted taillights
Tinted sidemarkers and front blinkers
Replaced Grille (missing passenger half)
Removed AAA sticker
Used Claybar to remove all overspray
Added foglight covers (Painted Gloss Black)
Removed bubbly window tint
1st gen accord Shift knob
Autozone Shift boot
Black Prelude rearveiw mirror

I broke a Exhaust hanger a few days ago called a shop today to find out how much they would charge me an they said if it wasnt to bad it would be free. I showed up to tha shop and they fixed it and added another hanger to tha driver side of tha muffler For FREE and ontop of that they welded it a bit higher so i have a bit more ground clearence and it looks a bit cleaner.

Lovin the black on the lights, man. and shit, i wish i had that lil "light" on the left of the hood, but the one on the 89 is damaged.

Ya i was gonna tint tha whole taillight but taped off tha red because for some reason i thought it would be easier doing it in sections. I think it was a beautiful mistake.

so yesterday i got a couple of tires for my car since the ones on it were getting kinda dangerous one had a tumor growing in the side wall (inside wall to so couldnt see it) and tha other was just smooth. but from tha looks of the wear it needs an aliment at some point. but i got a pretty good deal there used tires but have about 90% and i got them for 20 bucks a piece mounted and balanced. heres some pics

Well Tomarrow morning me and my brother are gonna head to pull-a-part Hopefully i can pick up tha flat trim that comes on tha dx. I already have tha fender peices and if all goes good i will have it painted and installed by tha end of tha week. More pics will be up tomarrow.

new tires ftw, i had a buldge like that on one of my old tires after hitting the shoulder accidently going of the road, bent my rim too :( was just a steelies tho lol

Its just Cat-back no header yet and im planning on a Cat delete.So for now its just a Magnaflow race series muffler i paid extra for it to be polished and have a tip

Ya im about 100 miles from being 285k. I love seafoam ive used it every oil change. Ive never added it to oil tho ive heard it can create leaks so i just dump it down tha carb and in tha gas tank.

Just got home from tha auto part store, picked up a valve cover gasket. Im probably gonna wait until tomarrow to replace it (Its to damn hot outside) When i was leaving tha parking lot of Schucks i saw some kid spraying his taillights with niteshade in tha parkinglot without sanding, Taping off, or even cleaning tha taillight!!? He was just spraying tha dirt with it (Car was Filtheee). But ya tomarrow ill take some pics of tha honda inside and out and maybe even a video

Yeah man. I roll with one "Mike Frost". He was rollin in a car with the hatchet man in a like 17" sticker on his rear windshield. He's way more into it than me, but i realy liked W.I.C.K.E.D.

Finished tha valve cover it only took 10 minutes. I think i got sunburnt in that 10 minutes but thats life with no garage. My brother has to upload and resize pics then they will be up within tha hour. I personally think it looks alot better

Thanx i also like it alot better, Mostly just beacause itl save effort when removing tha air cleaner 2 less screws and 2 less bolts to deal with. As far as tha spark plug wire holders im probably not gunna go that route, Its looks good on his ride but im not feelin it for mine.

I wish my valve cover looked that good lol. For some reason both my accords valve covers are all messed up. the 89's is almost more silver than black

Thank you pico, as long as money keeps flowing i should be able to get alot done this summer. Suspension i think is gonna be next ive seem to have developed a very squeaky ride and if wd-40 wont help im gonna have to invest in shocks and springs

Dont worry, i'd be painting the trim body color too, so it wouldnt be exactly the same. It might also end up silver. Also i see you got the hood "light" peice on, good stuff! does your car have the 86/87 grill peice on the hood? cause the 89 looks like its all one peice but the 87 is in 3 peices.. I was wondering how you could be missing one peice after seeing the 89.

i have a 88-89 grill it was missing a chunk it looked liked someone took a hammer to it.

So a little update for today, i went to pull-a-part hoping to get some trim off a dx and maybe even a nice lip. As soon as i parked tha car i noticed some smoke and popped tha hood ANOTHER radiator hose exploded this time it was tha bottom one. So me and my brother had that fixed in about 30 minutes, we just got a used one from tha junkyard while we were there. No luck with trim or lip but i did manage to pocket rpm and speedo gauges. I got them home and sanded tha back so sometime in Aug im going red LEDS

Ya it was deffinantly right place right time.
So i decided im not gonna go led instead im gunna get some transparent red paint and repaint tha backs of the gauges then buy some red bulb condoms. And while im at it ill prolly end up painting tha needles, im not sure what color yet though.

Im not sure lol just gonna figure it out as i go along.
I was driving around today and heard what sounded like a rock in my tire so when i got home i jacked tha car up and removed tha tire to find a Fish Hook was stuck in my new tire. Luckfully it was just in tha tread and wasnt able to pop my tire, But while i had it off i was inspecting tha suspension and what not, come to find out im gunna need to replace my ball joints. If i pull on tha tire theres a loud pop and tha tire wiggles around a little bit. Im getting paid on aug.5th and am starting a new job on tha 10th so everything should be takin care of by tha end of next month.
Heres my list of what i think will be done in Aug.
Gauge lights done red
All new upper and lower ball joints
All new radiator hoses/Radiator flush/Purple Ice
2 new tires and a allignment
New oil pan
LeDs in all blinkers and brake lights
Dx trim painted gloss black and Install

LEDs sound cool.. and damn, a fish hook? wow.. thats shitty, man. good thing it didnt mess shit up. I should inspect my balljoints n shit too.. Hell, i should take a look at the regular matenence page for this car, for the next one after 97k miles..
I cant wait to see the pics of the LEDs and that cluster, man!

No money for that. And i banned napa for me its O reilys all tha way. Was supposed to start working on tha 10th but that fell threw now i got crazy landlords evicting me and saying there gonna tow all my cars out of tha driveway and my trailor i live in from tha backyard. Cops have been here everynight for tha last week but im trying to focus all tha money towards tha honda (cuz im prolly gunna have to live in it). Cars drivable again gonna take care of tha radiator hose/flush in tha next few days and paint tha trim by tha weekend. Ill post pics after i paint
