Nice.
yeah all you need is megasquirt so you can control that power...im sure you would be around 130hp with all thoes mods
Sweet dude! Thats sick looking! I wouldnt mind makin my car look like that even with the EFI
hey dave liking the plans already and why not tubro it? lol
fuck yeah!!! but idk man i dont think you could beat any stock 1988 misty beige LX-i coupes, those things are faster then b16 CRX's and there exhaust smells like roses!
i want to see a turbo carbed accord dammit!
Lol turbo carbed might be intresting, actually.. never realy seen a turbo carb engine. Though, those intakes are defenetly naturally aspirated.. Im actually thinkin of makin the same thing with EFI tho. It looks sick.
is this destiny or what, i looked outside after i posted on your thread and BAM, package for me!

just a 32/36, even came with the air cleaner assembly... it's xmas for us =P
funny you mention that... i actually know of a kid with one of those. but cmon man, none of the mods that could ever be done to carbed accord could ever catch up to that extra 20hp that the efi's come with. i dont even think rjudgey could help with this one.
^^ A teg hybrid gearbox will help you out. It would be like 30 extra mini-ponies.
i dunno man, judge has done some crazy shit to his motors
38/38 for sale eh? hmmmmmmmmmmmm
nice davey. where you get that setup at?
hooked up fuel lines and a 'T' splitter...

Nice find, Dave. Uh oh, I better delete this so no one knows I'm giving you a compliment...

Why are you doing this at 3am?
i lol'ed
You're supposed to fill it out, then post the form, Dave.
Properly tuned DCOEs should kill an LXi pretty easily. I think you'll be surprised at the gains. It's the same as and ITB setup. Those throttle bodies should have more area than a stock LXi throttle body. Hence able to bring in more air and along with that, more fuel.
I don't get it, I have an 88' 4dr LX with 255,xxx miles, AND it's an automatic, and I still hit 60 in 9 seconds, which is the factory time for a brand new LXI manual..
wtf <.<
My carb'd Accord seems to do fine.. I'm sure an LXI doesn't do 0-60 in 8 or less seconds so I don't get why everyone else has issues :c
no tourqe comes with every honda for FREEE!!! haha <3 them still
and them carbs are purty
So the FI must hit it in like 6 or 7? Interesting <.<
I don't know, it seems odd that brand new they rated the FI car at like 8 or 9 second 0-60, bone stock, manual.
So if you're having troubles keeping up with LXI's, then they must have done something to their car :x
Anyway ya, I'm confused still.
Anyway if you're running under 8 seconds you should be in the realm of 2000+ Accords, and Civics since they run 7 seconds maybe 6 unless it's a V6 or SI. And even those pull like what 5ish seconds?
So you should defiantly be keeping up with a bonestock LXI.. No question.
Correction just looked up the 2009 Civic SI, with mods such as exhaust, headers, cold air, etc I saw a few videos of them running around 6 to 7 seconds.
Not putting you down or anything, but I wouldn't be complaining if you run under 8 seconds in your car. I mean come on, a 100ish HP car doing 0-60 only 2 seconds slower than a 210hp+ car with performance parts added? I wouldn't complain.
beautifull, I think I cried a little or at least felt something wet....
BTW I am not all that impressed with "stock Lxi" power since I have one, and compared to the other slightley modified carbed A20 (and B20) cars I have (had) I think it doenst take much to match that alleged 130hp.
However, the Lxi I have is a 87 model and no two stage plenum.
those carbs look FTW
2 seconds in racing is HUGE...
that's like saying, "i'm fine running a 15 second quarter mile when a car that's newer runs a 13"
also if it beats you in the 0-60 by 2 seconds it's going to compound exponentially once past that mark because it's up to speed so much quicker than your car.
just think, to make your car 2 seconds faster in anything you'd have to do a LOT of work.
I know 2 seconds is huge, but I'm comparing the two for the sake of argument,
1989 - 98bhp + exhaust/cam/racing carb so maybe 115+hp?
vs.
2009 - 210bhp + exhaust/intake/headers so like 220+bhp
Big difference, but the times are close for the age difference and major motor difference, with the fact he hasn't done anything MAJOR to his car.
8 seconds should beat an stock LXi that's all I'm saying. I'd be happy with my 22 year old car keeping up with newer cars, keeping up still says "Look what my old ass car can do for 1/8th the price of your new car."
k.
Dave: Did you dyno your car before or after the Webers? Do you have them on, yet?
had to go buy stuff to hook up the vac advance and brake booster, as well as the temp sensor hookup(stock went thru the intake mani)

HOLY GIANT PHOTOS!!!! that wasnt supposed to happen...
o wel
how big are the chokes in the dcoes?
i'd say you would need 34 or 36 mm chokes to make them work half decent.
they are gunna sound nearly as sexy as my 45mm itbs, but the dcoes will look better :(
i can try to measure the appx size, but what part is the choke, top or bottom? i think its the top, gimme a sec and ill start taking them apart...
edit: im only seeing 1 valve per cylider.
according to this diagram, what is the choke?
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...26tbs%3Disch:1
the choke usually has the size stamped or cast in them. look down the throat in the direction of air flow and the venturi/choke should have a number on it. thats the size of choke.
gotcha, they say 32 on them...
should have said venturi's instead of chokes. most people down here when talking dcoe's or dhla's talk choke size instead of venturi.
32 mm "venturi's" will be good for daily driving and mild performance work on a 2 liter motor. you wont give up stuff all bottom end if they are jetted right and depending on cam, head work and exhaust will be a good all round compromise.
if you were going for a track day , once and a while street type of build, i'd go for twin 45 dcoe's or dhla's with say 36 mm chokes, maybe 38mm depending on head and cam.
i had twin 40 dhla delorto carbs on a datsun 1200 motor and ran out of air flow with 32mm chokes, but it was a fairly serious motor.
12.5:1 comp, big valve head, works spec rally cam with .440 lift and 300 degrees duration. would only pull 8500 coz the carbs were to small.
sorry to rave on a bit, but 32 mm will be good size for all round work. just get someone who knows how to tune them to set them up and they'll treat you well.
how is the new suspension treating you?
