I think we got ripped off again. I loved the 6th gen JDM exterior and I definetly like the 7th gen's looks over the USDM design. What do you guys think??

Can someone explain that to me? Doesn't the USA buy like a million more cars than Japan? Why do they get all the awesome stuff while we get the big screw?

It'll cost alot of bucks to make japan spec engines to conform to the emission standards in the US, too much needed to changed that makes it not worth it.

that car is coming to america actually. as an entry level acura intended to replace the 4 door integra and to compete with the IS300 and G35. the article about it was in Road & Track and i have it scanned. do a search and it should come up, since i posted about it. i may have taken the pic off my server though.
You can get skylines... they've been available since 1998 I believe.

DAMN IT. that looks better than the new accord they came out with. we always get the leftovers. they should realy send us some cooler accords like the one pictured . the body style is what i like . i think if the US accord looked like that there would be even more buyers.

The Infiniti G35 4dr is of another sedan out there, I don't really remember which. But yeah, the G35 2Dr. Coupe that has not yet come out, but will within a few mo.s, is said to be the americanized version of the new Skyline GT-R 35, but let's face it, it's not.
Well, that's what they want to call it, but honestly, do you really think you can go to the Inifinite dealership and get a G35 with the original I6, turbo, and looking badass as fuck? Nope, not here. Plus the new 350Z is closer to the G35 than the Skyline is....we're a sad nation.Quote:

Sort of. They stopped making the coupes (including GTR's) and only sell the 4dr Skylines (marketed for older people) in Japan which is the G35 sedan over here.

That's actually an Acura TSX and is coming here to the US.
that is nice but, the nicest Accord they ever built to me is the Accord Euro-R.

For sure skylines are available, like A20a1 said, go check out motorex at www.skylinegtr.com. But unless you've got a good $30,000 - 100,000 to spend you'd better not count on getting one.
Actually, it's not the same. The body is different, and the headlights/taillights are different. I'm not even sure if they share the same chassis.

euro/jap accords are much smaller than US accords. its a completely different chassis. but that car is coming to america as an acura. so we didnt get screwed over this time :)
Why do they need a car to compete with the G35 and IS300. Thats what the TL is for..
TL isn't an entry level luxury sedan...then again, neither is the G35 and IS300. I think the TSX (Euro Accord) is going against stuff like the G20 and whatever Lexus's equilivlent is.
BTW...February?!?! The new Accord is already selling here in Vegas...saw one last nite on the road.

i think one of the reasons we get the screw over here as far as japanese cars go is because the majority of north american people want cheap things, we like value plain and simple, sure there are a few exceptions but for the most part people would rather buy a taurus over an accord because of the price difference, alot of people only consider a car as a way to get to work in the morning. alot of people don't take resale value into consideration, Honda is a business, i'm sure they have researched the demand for selling their high end cars over here and determined it's not worth it. if they would make a profit doing it they would. if this post didn't make any sense i appoligise in advance.
