What's confusing?
No possible way your stock carb motor would hold together for a 12 sec run, let alone flow the air/fuel to make you run a 12 sec pass. I could go on forever about this...Where you rolling down hill..........Okay one last thing if your doing 0-60 in 10sec and the quarter in 12 well then your finishing your 1/4 mile pass at a whopping 66 mph...... HA! try again.
LMAO!!! Biggest Horse Shat I've heard in a while.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to say that 12 seconds is about 5 or 6 seconds off from reality. Even so, I'm almost tempted to lock this from the get-go so people need to keep themselves in check, k?
Alex
you sure its 1/4 of mile and not 1/8...im not trying to make fun of u but i get like 12 secs on 0-60 and like 17 on 1/4 and i only have a K&N filter...plus i got like 60pounds of stereo stuff...my amp is like 18 pounds...box with subs is like 30 and stereo and wires
maybe me meant a 1/4 mile already going top speed
Wow lots of flames. I can say this I have nothing to lie about I just figure ya'll wouldn't belive me but ok I'll do it again in a couple of weeks but then I'll have vid to show for it. I have a K & N filter as well. But besides that all stock. even fucked up tires and front wheel bearing.
I understand your flames but like I said above in the title. "You won't believe this but it's true."
what are u using to get these times
Dude, there's NO way you ran a 12sec quarter mile from a standing start. A physical impossibility. How did you measure your time/distance/speed?
Alex
My fiance was using a stop watch in the passenger seat, odmeter (SP) , SpeedometerQuote:

Read any magazine review or any other drag times from any other guy here and you'll see that these cars run 16.8-17.5 stock. Don't you think it odd that you supposedly cut 5 seconds off your quarter mile time in a stock carbed accord? Really--be reasonable.
Alex
ok I honestly do belive that it is a bit odd but I have to say that these cars can perform when they want to. I think we have a track somewhere on the out skirts of town I'll look into it and I'll repost with my times.
You're an idiot.Quote:

I think you can get mid 16's even low 16 on some rare occasions in the carbed 3g... but consistently no... you'll be 17-18sec 1/4th mile untill you start opening the intake and exhaust and work the head.
Thanks...what could get me banned the language?Quote:

LOL ok I will most definately post those but to find the track now.Quote:

Let's say your speedo is somewhat accurate.
Find a straight stretch of road with markers along the side.
Go a steady 60mph and start your stopwatch at a marker you prefer. That translates into 60m/1hr (60 min.) = 1 mile per minute = 1/4 mi in 15 sec.
It will take you exactly 15 sec. to pass 1/4 mi. at 60mph. So ... go a steady 60mph, pick a marker, start your watch, and pick a marker at the 15 sec. mark.
That will give you your unofficial quarter mile track.
After owning a civic that ran 14.5 down the 1/4 with time slip & all, the 3g feels about 1/3 of the power. I don’t have emissions bullshit either being New Zealand new, there are alot of inaccuracies you can run into timing a 1/4 mile the way you did, like your girlfriends reaction time pushing the stop watch & Speedo calibration etc...but yeah go to the track & see what ya car can do.
