that is my car as of right now...no valve cover or air box. the carb looks better with out it....im also thinking of civic air box but i heard that it hits the hood so i might now get it unless i get a super cheap AEM intake

I sure hope you aren't running w/o your valve cover on.... and w/o an air filter...

heres the engine thats going in the car when it came out of the doner car. b20a with blown head gasket and 5 speed a crappy clutch. this motor has been stripped down and in the process of being rebuilt:

Only changes from this is that I now have a short ram intake instead of cold air and my battery is turned back straight, there's no MSD anymore, and I've got a DC Sport strut bar.

Sorry to thread jack, but Steve what car was that intake made for? I cant seem to find one that clears the Prop vavle and distributor at the same time.

yeah i got the same prob...just got my headgasket like 4 days ago...but my uncle is going to do it since im a noob at that kind of stuff...i will help him so i can lean also. il post pics of the progress later on. thanks

Correct. I sold it to another member tho. Short ram + VTEC = :D If you put a cold air intake on, you'll notice less on the top end.

Did you buy a short ram for another vehicle or are you making another one. I made mine, but it is very heavy and has terrible bends :thumbdn: .

EDIT: I dident catch the las part of your post. I dont want a CAI, I was jsut curiose about the first half of the intake. The CAI and the short ram are the same untill you ger past that first piping. Let me know what you come up with on that short ram.

I just bought a cheap eBay SRI. I think it was for a 92-95 Civic. It kind of bumps my proportioning valve but nothing real major. It's pretty light. My camera isn't working at the moment or I'd snag a pic. I can probably take one with my phone so you get the general idea.
