Re: Hatchback mods dillema
13 years wow,
I say go for the mods, you've had the car this long so your obviously going to be keeping her for a long while more. You might as well do it.
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
anything that will make the car more reliable is a good thing
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
WOW, 13 years! Congrats, that LX of yours is a car I look up to and hope to have something somewhat like it someday
Personally I would do a EFI Swap and the Rear Discs, I've always said If I ever got a DX, it would get EFI and Rear Discs.
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Do the swap, you collected the parts for a reason :D
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
It's still OEM parts right? Then the car is still OEM, just has some new features added to it. :D "Owner-added options."
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Rear disc brakes are totally worth it, it took me a day to do them by myself with new lines on all four corners.
So you should do it:)
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Like others mentioned, I would add the rear discs. If you are looking to actually daily drive the hatch then I would the efi conversion, if not then I go with a nice dual weber set up.
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Well, I guess I'll have no choice but to convert it.
I might get a big brake kit for the sedan and install the remaining parts on the Hatch with the SE-i knuckles.
Anyone has a spare Hatchback main harness laying around. If not, I'll have to hack both harnesses and make my own for the conversion.
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
He's Looking for a Main Wire Harness out of a 88-89 LX-i Hatchback Without Automatic Seatbelts, If possible
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
:)still need this? those harness' are buckled in tight as hell, it will take a while to get one out unscathed.. may be worth a B20a gasket set.. ahhemmm
:)
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Hmmm yeah, If you have an 87 EFI hatch harness, I might take it :D
Auto or manual? auto seatbelts?
I'l still not sure anymore. I "love" how the carb looks hehe.
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
87 ? previous post said 88-89
anyway, I don't have it yet, but I have a shopping list to fill a the JY, two here that I have been to last month have several, I would say a dozen hatchbacks between them. Sadly two of them I saw look like they really do not belong there yet.
Weather permiting , I'm going tommorrow for teg dizzy, axle, recently replaced motor mounts, a few hatch parts by request, and weber/dellorto carb hunting.

3geez had auto seatbelts?
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
Oh yeah, 88-89, sorry lol.
If you ever come by one, I'll gladly trade some B20A parts or send money for it!

yep I see those on the coupes a lot
that ties into the harness via the domelight circuit I assume, or is it also involved in a ign override, I have to look that up at work.
Re: Hatchback mods dillema
huh.. i did not know that. i thought only 4g had auto seat belts
