What vehicle do you have? To go to a four wheel disc set up you need the rears knuckles/disc brakes/e-cables/poportioning valve off a SEi.
Now it is said that the front SEi disc are larger than the LXi this I'm not sure of.
The 88-89 LX-i/SE-i Front Calipers and Rotors are the same, it's the 86-87 LX-i/86-89 DX/LX Ones that are smaller
To convert to 88-89 LX-i/SE-i Front Brakes you need:
Calipers
Pads
Rotors
Hubs
88-89 LX-i Knuckle
What I'd to personally is just grab the whole Front Susp from the UCA Down from the 88-89 Car and just swap it in if your a 86-87 LX-i/88-89 DX/LX
For the SE-i Rears You need what nswst8 said plus the Rear Trailing Arms if you have a 86-87 Accord, So you'd be best to just take the entire Rear Susp From your SE-i Donor Car
On a side note you don't HAVE to have the prop. valve. I have been running an LX valve with rear disc's for over a year without any problems. I have the SE-i one but it leaks.
ok i have a 86 LX and my main question is could i use the LX-i Front brakes to do my rear discs? cause SE-i's are super hard to find.. ive only seen one.. and it was wrecked.. LOL
No!
Um guys the SE-i has the same size brakes up front as the LX-i. However, only the 88-89 LX-i front brakes are the same as the SE-i brakes.
If you are going to be doing a full swap. You will need the MC as well to accommodate the larger calipers up front.
NOOOO! :kekeke:
Heh but actually what your thinking about is Legendmasters brake thread about using the Civic rear disk kits you buy on our SEI rear set up. Its on this site somewhere. You cant use the LXi front brakes on the rear without some modifcations.
wp
Okay check it out.
88-89 LXi front brakes are the SAME as the 88-89 SEi front brakes. 88-89 LXi have rear DRUMS, 88-89 SEi have rear discs. You can put the two together there. They have the SAME master cylinder. Help any?
haha no problem man.
That would be sweet, but alas no. lol. Just keep hitting up the JY's. Theres always a bunch down south from where I'm at apparently.
Just make some calls, drive a little, you'll stumble across one sooner or later.
has anyone tried to do a rear disk swap from an 85-89 integra?
no honestly i just thought about it after reading this thread.

Put some paint on those!
ass face.
Only downside is that if you don't upgrade your front brakes, you have to be careful in the rain. If you mash the brakes the rear end locks up in a split second.
would that also be cause you're using a lx prop valve?
