Sunday August 25th ---> CT/New England Meet

C'mon dammit, I posted this in the Let's Meet section, and have not had any reply yet, so I've been forced to post it here.....

Ok guys, AUGUST 25th... ...that's the date that you'll get off your lazy a$$es to go to the 3rd Gen meet. This will happen.

The exact location of this meet has not yet been determined, it is really based on how many of you WILL be there. The general location is in the Hartford area. It may be held in a surrounding town, however it will not be far from Hartford.

If you are interested in attending, please post a reply. I would like to find out how many people/cars to expect.

sure, being that you're the first to offer up any sort of response, and that even though you're a corrolla driver you still enter the realm of 3Geez. In the words of the most annoying guy alive (Bob from Bob's discount furniture) COME ON DOWN!

so... ...so far we've got an '89 Accord DX Hatch (mine), and a '92 Corrolla showing up to the New England 3Geez meet.

im down for a meet. but check this out. every monday night in hartford theres this thing called marks king of cruise night. it's mainly old cars but there is a strong import following happening there now. we should have the meet there. it's in conn. near bradly airport.

...I intend to put together a flyer as soon as we determine a definite place for this to happen, and post it up in the performance shops around. I want to see if 3Geez could get any new recruits. Let me know if this is a good/bad idea.

Ok here are the specifics.........

WHEN: Sunday August 25th @ 1pm

WHERE: Elm Ridge Park in Rocky Hill, Connecticut

its going to be a BBQ of sorts so please let us know if your coming as I can then get the right amount of food. Also, feel free to bring friends and refreshments.

Here is the map. the park is labeled incorrectly but I redid it in RED.

So if your coming off of 91N take exit 23, at the end of the ramp take a right. Go through the first light, then turn left at the 2nd light (it is usually blinking yellow). You will now be on Gilbert Ave. Keep going straight until you come to a stop sign. AT the stop sign take a right. Keep going straight . You will pass a funeral home and encounter an "S" type turn. The park will then be on your right. You can not miss it.

If your coming from 91S take exit 23, at the end of the ramp take a left. Then follow the same directions as above.

If your coming from anywhere other than 91 please let me know and I will help you out.

UPDATE: So far it looks as though the number has grown to 10+, not including the VA group that Ninja is is trying to put together to take the ride. If that happens, whoooa, this could be the biggest 3G meet in the history of the forum.

hey why not do it in new york, we can all go to hunts point for the races and there alot of things to do here, u can also find lots of girls and lots of things to do.

eric --> thanks for the idea, but I'd like to keep it in CT this time around only b/c we seem to have lots of people coming from all over the place, and lots of people already confirmed. I don't want to change things this late in the game. If you want, we can try for a NY meet later in the year, or possibly next year. Plus I already got a flyer made up, and I'm gonna go print them later today.

JTstyle --> as long as you got 3g in your blood, come on down. This is a voluntary meet, no invite required. If you wanna join us, feel free, we won't hold it against you that you're driving a nissan. I mean after all, my other car's a Nissan too.:huh:

is there ne admission into the park? i kno the last meet (my friend richs - he might comes down with me) there was a addmission fee to get into a park.... just wondering if there was one here
