Cool . I need to ask you about the intake manifold since I'm running a stock intake manifold are there any OBD1 sensors on the B16 manifold I would need for 0bd1

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
OBD1 map sensors are on the the tb and obd0 is in the black box so you'll have to extend the wires to reach but that's about it

no it seems like when these cars break down multiple things happen in a row. Fix one problem to find another

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
its worth it once everything is done.

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
Swap to the 89 cluster today and I can say I now have a VSS signal it is pretty accurate. It even shows what gear I'm in based on RPMs and speed .And I'm seeing my old cluster and that I never seen the check engine light on because someone remove the bulb

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
To get a vss signal to your 86 cluster you only need to swap the plastic white box from a 89 cluster I give Rendon LXI the credit thanks bro

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
Well the water pumps leaking I don't know how I forgot to replace that and the timing belt when I had it all apart. One step forward two steps back:uh: as soon as I can get all the leaks and bugs fixed I might be able to put a turbo on it one day

You really can't tell much of a difference but I did a wire tuck on one side without cutting or extending any wires. Still got a lot of work to do

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
I'm trying to wire in a OBD1 throttle body map sensor .I know the pin out on the OBD1 clip. But I need to know the signal ground and Power on the OBD0 stock harness side. I've been testing with a stock OBD1 sensor tried different wiring combinations and having no luck possibly a bad sensor. Found wire diagram just waiting on sensor

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
From the testing I'm done I say that you can not use a obd1 throttle body map sensor as a firewall map sensor. it didn't work for me.

Re: 86 Honda Accord turbo build
when you say map sensor are you meaning the Throttle position sensor. Or you mean a Manifold pressure sensor?

Map manifold pressure sensor. Obd1 throttle body map sensor + Mount to firewall= no go
