bout 2.40 here... varies a bit day to day... lately, it's down a bit...
lets face it, were going to be paying 20 bucks just to get 1/2 a tank this summer. Stupid ass george dub....
i wouldn't blam dubya for this entirely... there are A LOT of bastards working to drive these prices up... one guy can't do this...
/but then again, this isn't the politics forum
uhhh like ok, my friend's 65 stang with a 289 gets about 8/gallon.
meh, that's not bad, considering that car shouldn't be a daily driver...
people need to have a good econmy car for daily driving... i mean, it makes sense... 15,000 miles at 12 MPG or 15,000 miles at 30 MPG... do the math, people...
ok,ok i did the math... using those figures above and assuming a fixed fuel price of $2.50
the car that gets 12 MPG will cost $3125 for fuel per year
the car that gets 30 MPG will cost $1250 for fuel per year
My bike gets 55 mpg, so thats like hella good I think. :) Shit my car gets 22 in town! Filled the bike up with 91 octane today @ $2.50ish. Cost me $9.00...In the Accord $10.00 got me 2/5 tank!
2.59|gal here,
i'm actually thinking about getting a bike. this guy i work with has an early 80's kawasaki 4 cylinder. i think it needs the carbs rebuilt and to have the fluids flushed. dont know about insurance though on that. i think its green, i'd probley paint it black.
i tried to get financing for a Honda CBR 600RR. i was approved for the cost of the bike itself through a bank, but they won't cover teh tax/registration. so for now, i won't be getting it :(. i might just get like a 2000 Honda Shadow instead though. i would have a 2001 Honda Shadow, but the guy never called back when i had the money back in November :(. oh well, guess i'll just have to look around.
Sorry, but that sounds like a stupid waste of money to me...Quote:

saw $3.00 for regular in Marin today!!!!
Friday I filled my truck up, $60 for 3/4 of a tank(30 gal. tank). That is why I can't wait to drive my good ol Honda again. Nothing beats driving 350 miles on $20 at 70 MPH!
costs me $30 to fill my LXi sedan up... I barely get 330 miles. i need to buy a bike again. my dad's old 1980 Yamaha XS11 gets nearly 50 mpg. 1100cc engine, really damn fast bike, and he gets nearly 50 mpg. bastard!Quote:

Around $34 to fill the tank here in SA using 89 octane, getting around 390 to 400 Miles to the 16 gallon tank.
$2.11 89 octane
$2.21 93 octane
It cost me around 30 something for a full tank on 89 octance. Since I have a $5.50hr. job, its really hard to afford gas.
I live in Central U.S., I can't believe the price of gas has reached $2.49 a gallon here. I could imagine what it cost elsewhere. I have seen on the news that the rising gas prices will cause financial hardship for some people. When is it going to stop? :ugh:
Its a dollar six here in saskatoon. And thats per liter. You guys have it easy!
its fucking ridiculous..soon im gonna have to roll on da bus, or pull out a bike..pedal power bitches.. i hate them rich oil fuckers, :flip: they got all this money and we paying high dollars to support there asses. i know there holding back oil to rise up prices, its a conspiracy i tell ya..

It's about 2.60 where I am in RI, but the Volvo "reccommends" 91 octane or higher :(:(.
