NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
So a lot of time has past, waiting for get my life together (and the funds) to finally get my LX-i project going again. Going to take a lot of restoration from the hell I put it through. Then once I get the little bit of rust fixed, all the other mechanical crap done, and have my car looking all show-room like it did before... Then I'll see where I go from there.
My plan is to have this car for the rest of my life. I think it's a goal within reasonable reach. Hopefully no more busses hit me.. I was in tears at the autobody place when they appraised the damages. Would have totaled the car out. The old man was nice enough to ''adjust'' the damages just under book value :deal:
Current Mods:
Rear Disc Break Converstion
Tokiko Blue's shocks and struts
H&R Lowering Springs
Reemus Exaust
Kumho Escka Tires (Sorry I can't spell that for the life of me)
Cup Holder
Armrest
Red Tail Lights =]
Steering Wheel from some other Honda (???)
Sunroof
Had a lot of body work done. This little soldier has been hit by a city bus, and an F-350, still running strong!
Here's a photo of my Accord when I took care of it.

Re: NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
So now I'm off to go pick up my new door and striker plate. New Tail lights. New Carpet. New Seats. Tons of random bolts just for futures sake, and last but not least, all the dang interior bolt covers that are missing all over the place. Ah crap, and an Axle. Because squirrels love to chew up CV boots.
Pics of parts car's:

Going out to get my parts. Hopefully going to start today. Wish me luck!

Holy Jeebus.
Anything good?
Re: NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
Tons of good stuff. I took a picture of each 3rd Gen and wrote down the car codes, so when I need something I can call them up.
Here's what I picked up today, to fix a lot of what you see in the first post.
New door, only a tiny bit of rust at paint level (thank god). The interior of the car it came from totally showed no signs of smoking, which was nice. Black carpet, and a replacement console.

New fuse box (old one is so jacked up), tail lights (black just needs a new coat), and parking lights.

Apparently 2 of the black coupe's were brought in for the cash for clunkers program. Almost scary how intact some of them are. Good for me there's enough out there to fix my mess that I made. Which is my goal as of now. Making up for what I messed up.
Going out tomorrow morning, and getting started. Shooting to do it all in 4-5 hours, which should be more then enough.
Re: NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
do work! and good luck with everything!
Re: NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
nice to see you working on the coupe
Re: NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
Good stuff! car will look like new again very soon!
Re: NightRyder's 88 LX-i Build Thread
looks good mine will be about where your is at soon here. I also have black paint and that same interior. Im thinking possibly replace it with black carpet and some E-bay racing seats preferably black. I dont need it but a nice steering wheel be it grant or what have you, relocating the cruise control buttons right below the shifter by the Emergency brake. (idea behind this Shift to 5, hand is down there can push button for cruise with one hand on the wheel)

The ponies look angry. Best not to disturb them.
So you went to UIUC? I went there for 1.5 semesters. And then dropped out. :Owned:

Stick with it man, the coupes are sweet looking cars. It'll be worth it not to mention even more sentimental than it is now.
