Re: The Performance thread
Some H-series goodness with some 48MM DCOEs would be a kick-ass project. I'd love to see a newer VTAK motor with carby goodness.

Would'nt that be a problem cause of big difference in profile when vtec kicks. lol the Carbs can't be controlled by the ecu to dump more fuel like injectors.
lol Carbs + VTEC FTW:cheers:

Hmm, good point. But don't carbs meter fuel based on vacuum anyways? More lift / duration = more vacuum = more fuel?? Seems like a topic for another thread though. Sorry to whore this one up.

I added your thread to the carb section Lost. You should turn that thread into a DIY on how to make the setup. I was looking through it and didnt really get an idea of what is needed. Also can anybody give me a link to the quad carb setup? I cant remember the members name, but I remember his car. Forrest green sedan with black wheels, and quad carbed a20.

It's all good, I think the first post is the onyl important one. I have seen a carbed b18c. I never hear it run though, but from what I hear it was a bad MF.
Re: The Performance thread
The quad carb'd guy is in Portland, his name is Zufer.

it's a matter of money roodoo2,i'm building up everything and getting it finished, then i have to get the money to get the carbs rebuilt, since the throttle shafts are worn out, they have to go to z therapy to get fixed. as far as a how to,i'm hoping my thread will give some people ideas, this is uncharted territory,i've never heard of having SU's on a honda anywhere. i'm not sure how to tell anyone to do this,i have to engineer one piece at a time. sometimes the parts work, and sometimes they end up as scrap and i have to make different parts. if i knew someone who was a good draftman, we could get together and they could draw plans off of the parts already made. when i make something i almost never draw out plans,i know how to build it in my head, then i just take a chunk of aluminum and make a part, or sometimes i just stare at a part for hours until it hits me how to make it work. a lot of the stuff on my threads can also be applied to webber setups or other single barrel sidedraft setups. anybody got questions i'll be glad to answer them. it's all prototype stuff.
Re: The Performance thread
That is really helpful thread... LM. I'll give You that. )))
edit: have anyone tried to supercharge our A20? it might be less time consuming and cheaper...

there are a few threads about that, seems like there was a lot of inconclusive information out there. I love the idea of using vacuum pump supercharge or forced. Having a dash controled ignition timing would be a plus, as well as manual boost control for the SC. I m staying carbed
Re: The Performance thread
I so have tot ag this one!

Thank you,
I'm bookmarking it.
Re: The Performance thread
Updated the information about motor swap. Ive been out of the loop, so if anybody has any suggestions for threads that should be added here, let me know.
Re: The Performance thread
update for me, I know someone with a supposedly good functioning set of 69 Datsun Z carbs, they will bolt straight to my manifold and linkages, so that may solve the carb rebuild issue
Re: The Performance thread
EDIT NM found his updated website.
