Old school gauges on 1985 Accord
Please don't beat me down over this because I know it's probably hashed and rehashed, but is there any way I can install a set of oil pressure, temp & amp gauges on an 1985 Accord ? There a set of micros at advance that's supposed to have all fittings in it but I assume they are intended for older American cars

There generally mechanical gauges that use tubing to run the oil to your gauge clusters. I think the 3rd one would be volts not amps. Mechanical are more accurate but i prefer the electrical ones since i dont like hot engine oil inside the cab of my car. Not sure what fittings they supply but I would guess you would have to do some rigging on your own.

The additional gauges are a smart choice, especially when you realize that the factory oil pressure light only comes on after the engine is already fookt (~3 psi). It's not really a warning light as much as a "time to buy a new engine" light. At least on the 3g's it is. The problem on the 3geez is that the oil pressure port on the block is an obscure thread pitch that requires a very obscure adapter that you must special order. I can't speak to yours. Beyond that, the most difficult part is finding a place to put the gauges that doesn't look absurd. Take lots of pics when you do it.
