Idle issues with air conditioning

Hello all, First let me apologize if this is in the wrong place. I have a 1988 accord lx 5spd with a/c. I was having trouble with low idle while the a/c was running. I have since figured that part out and it idles steady at 800 rpms. The main idle jumped to around 1200. I adjusted the main idle and could only get it down to 1100. Before attacking the a/c issue it idled at 750 steadily. I recently did a normal tune up and checked for vacuum leaks. I found one at one of the intake runners and repaired it. I was wondering if the infamous thermovalve would affect it but I'm unsure. Also engine timing is dead on. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
