Re: New Accelerator Cable
Yea but is that Cali legal?
I keed, good work.
Re: New Accelerator Cable
Well, it's illegal to call someone by a gender pronoun they don't like now, so who knows?
Re: New Accelerator Cable
I should mention that the way to remove the old cable from the firewall is to turn it counter-clockwise about a quarter-turn. That will save someone else boogering up their firewall trying to pry on it.
Re: New Accelerator Cable
I tried to install an Integra cable but the ends are different on the pedal side. This is a good idea. My throttle cable is old and worn down. I just fixed it up by using a hose and clamping it down. still works but does not look as nice.
Re: New Accelerator Cable
I'd like to say this is working better than it is, but that would be a lie. The new cable has an irritating stick when coming off idle. It's nothing dangerous, just irritating that I went to all that work to still have the same problem. It is a lot better than it was though.

Re: New Accelerator Cable
Well, just ducked into this thread (trying to keep up with all these posts!) and while I'm bummed that it hadn't solved your problem, I figure I'll give it a shot! MY stock DX carb throttle cable is like a solid ~4 feet long, and with my Webers on my B18, I had no idea how to reduce it to the short foot it needed to be, so thanks for the info! Even if it wasn't quiiiite what this thread was about! And good luck getting that idle stick sorted!
