Fuel tank won't sit flush - 85 accord

Is there a certain way you have to slide it in? I have been lifting it up with a floor jack but no matter where i move it, it doesn't seem to be right and it restricts the straps.

I remember when i did mine the filler neck hose was getting in the way and some wire plugs from the wiring harness for the fuel pump. Once i got those out of the way the straps weren't long enough, i found that the end they hook on to weren't exactly hooked, they got pushed further in the hook side which made them shorter on the other bolt side. Hope that made sense.

I notice the filler neck totally restricts it, but man I just thought about what happened when I was putting the straps back on they get jammed way back and restrict them, it totally skipped my mind. I will check that out today thank you so much man!
