Random 2 pin connection leftover after engine swap?
Hey all, never really had to ask around with the shop manual at our finger tips, but I do believe I need some help with this one. Nope, not a complicated process like an engine rebuild or refurbishing a weird old sensor...
I need help figuring out what this connector goes to xD hahah pics attached.
Seriously, I swapped the engine/trans from my 89' SE-i to my 88' LX-i while I rebuild the ladders original engine. Both manual. I'm wrapping up the process right now and I can't seem to find where this 2-wire plug goes. I've searched and searched through the manual and the forums. Yikes!
BTW the engine bay wiring harness is from the 89', and both were running great. This might be something extra that was on the 89' SE-i, but didn't come with the 88' LX-i. Anyone have any ideas at all? A/C has been stripped from the car, maybe an A/C part? I have all the 88' engine stuff packed away...please for the love of god don't make me dig out the old 88' wiring harness. I will cry.
Engine sat for a while in a damp garage, sorry for the ickyness and rando parts ;P

No worries.
Update: She started up and was running very rough, so I suspected something amiss with this connection, but after I gave her the ol' Italian tune-up for a few blocks she was running fine. I assume the fuel system needed a little push in the right direction after sitting for so long...no check engine light so I think it was a non-essential accessory from something on the SE-i. Solved enough for me!
Only problem after the engine swap is they charging system. Running with only 12 volts at the battery! Will update/ask in another thread on that, if necessary. I'm sure they're not related from what I've seen in the wiring diagrams. Peace!

Is that stock? it looks like it was soldered on and taped.
To me it looks like it was the cruise control plug but on the wrong side of the engine.

Looks like the power steering pressure switch which only was present on the 1989 model year. It's usually on the line going to the rack but the 89 electrical manual should confirm this

It doesn't seem to have made any difference on mine having it disconnected.

Right on, I was hoping it was auxiliary stuff like that. That would make sense as that's one of the few places the plug could reach. Thanks!
