Mine? l just rebuilt mine in 2009. l have just over 50k miles on it. It's not quite time to do anything yet, but when it is, I'll be looking for a K20. l don't know if I can pull it off, but that's my hope.

Well...stock pistons ? .030 over. ?
full rebuild? dingle ball hone?
Bromide down the intake on a Saturday night drunk?
Re: A20 motor build threads.
It's a little bit different for me here. I have the California Smog Nazis looking over my shoulder, so it has to be totally legit. When I get done, I have to take it to a smog referee and they go over it with a fine-toothed comb, looking for anything to complain about. Like, they literally check part numbers and verify that I have the exact right parts for the engine. If I use a JDM block, they'll check the number and fail the car just for that. Turn it into yard sculpture. If I don't use the OE exhaust manifold, they'll fail it. Every sensor, every light, every bit of everything has to be fully functional or I can't put it on the road. My plan is to buy a running RSX (Type-S hopefully), salvage titled or whatever, then pull everything out that I need and figure out where to put it. I'll have to do the usual stuff when you do a swap: fab mounts, cut stuff up for clearancing, maybe re-work the subframe, etc. Then on top of that, I'll have to re-work the looms, find ways to mount sensors that weren't there before, figure out how the ECU works when stuff starts acting funny. It's a blessing and a curse, really. When it's all over, the car will be a fully functional OBD2 car and will be held to the same smog requirements as the RSX it came out of. When I take it to the smog shop, they'll pretend that they're testing an RSX instead of my 3g. I'll have an OBD2 port in the cabin, and most likely the gauge cluster out of the RSX. It will be a lot of work but totally amazing when it's done. Think of a Type-S with 200 lbs of weight reduction (probably more because I'll bet that K20 is a lot lighter than the A20) and a better suspension. I shudder to think of my crazy self behind the wheel of that, but hey, some things must be done.
Now you got me thinking. I know I could weld up some K20 mounts for my car on my own. I'd use cardboard mock-ups and steel stock. They'd be hillbilly-grade, with big bird-poop welds and whatnot, but they'd hold just fine. The only thing is, they'd be completely custom and I'd have no measurements, templates, blueprints, CAD drawings or anything to share with anyone else who wanted to do the same swap. What is a good way to get K20 mounts for our cars in a share-able way? We really need K20 mounts for these cars. That would open up such amazing options for us. Our cars are already increasing in value. Imagine how much faster that would go if we could reliably swap in K20s?
Re: A20 motor build threads.
Well on this thread I was just looking for a parts list..like what rebuild kit you used etc..
On your K20 discussion if you could buy mounts off the shelf and then modify for what you need that would be a good start.
So hypothetical you buy these down below, cut two ears off one and chuck one on the trash can then me here in TN could do the same thing. I just 5 second googled that link for an example. I like hasport.
Hasport ESK3 Mounts 01-05 Civic (K20 & K24 swap)
Thats my way of thinking.

this is a good one on the A20 head. Of course the pictures are messed up but good to follow along with.
