It's looking great!! Can't wait to see some times on this thing!! Headers look nicely designed too well worth chopping up the crossmember a bit! what size TB do you have and the size of the collector on header and main system piping?
Seen these engines work very nicely with 2.5" collector and main pipe with mandrel bends.
Just built a well nice B20 sadly the kid putting it together fubar'd it by putting the old cam covers back on and not noticing piece of gasket half hanging into the belt I think you know what happens next there! lol! Was a real shame compression was like 220psi warmed up and headwork was lush even if I do say so myself I think that B20 with the few mods we made would have made easily 180bhp but will have to wait and see what damage is like now have to probably rebuild the top end again only just finished it 2 weeks ago took me 2 months hard work at nights and weekends to get it done was well gutted :(
I have 70mm onimi throttle body matched with the intake. the header is a Tri-Y hytech with a 2.5 collector and 2.5 all the way back with menderl bend pipe. head has blox type c cams with blox dual valve springs and titanuim retainers. using Pr3 pistons on Ls rods /arps. acl race bearings.
im looking for 220 or higher. Should be easy to do. with my setup. well i hope so anyway lol.
Well go her on the road yesterday morning an ran great. Need to wire in the iacv . Also I have a vss code an I have no Vtec did the test I usaully do an works except at idle when I apply power to. Vtec s. nothing happen . So idk if I forgot something like a Vtec o ring or something . Weak sauce. I'll was going to post a vid last night but Internet Beening stupid

I thought that if you had a VSS code, that the VTEC won't engage. You have to be above a certain speed before it will work, and without VSS, it has no idea. But I dunno... I just have some old carburetors. :)
Tuner disabled vss so Vtec can kick.

I could not find the 6k resistor at my local radio shack but I rechecked colds an it don't show no more. Maybe when I move it will.
Motor is broke in an I took off the vtec solenoid an spool valve an cleaned it out not much debri in the screen. I have no vtec so I figured I'll check that first. I'm sure I have a vtec o ring out or something not done right I have good oil pressure 70 at wot an 25 at idle 75-80 on start up. So idk I tapped the head like golden eagle said to as seen on the pics I posted. So it's something small. Tuner said once that is fixed we can fully tune it . He said it's 80% tuned. But it does put you in the seat he said yup your over 200 hp my friend lol. Sure does feel great after all that hard work. Yet you fuckers are like hurry hurry your taking forever LMFAO. I'll do a in car vid but man I shifted at 6.7 thinking it was stock redline tuner said wtf are you doing LMFAO it's a ls vtec homie LMFAO epic fail

Well im getting a Code 4,8,9,17. dizzy was giving to me and i cant go pass 3k all of a sudden. going to recheck timing an go from there. going to swap ckp wires and see if i can get rid of the 8,9. i have 67psi at 3k so im good on oil pressure.
Tomorow going to do the rear disc convo as well and pull the rear fenders cause my tires are not fitting lol

I know you know, but the ecu went into limp mode.. That's why it won't rev past 3k.
Also I find it hard to belive that all that stuff is wrong with the dizzy all at once. You may want to re-check all the wiring again. It's nice to see you working on it again.

Yea dizzy was giving to me cause of check engine light . Tdc code never came up. Till a couple days after. I installed shielded wire which why I was getting code 8,9. Was getting code 17 as well I stacked 4 1.5k together lol to get 6k. Hopefully that fixes that problem. Car still does not fire after it died checked for spark no spark. My wiring is correct or the car would of not ran. Codes popped up after going the first full wot but I did check an everything was up to my standards .
Also installed rear disc an weapon r coiovers which are stiffer then shit. Rolled my fenders .
Waiting on my dizzy which is Friday. I'll should be up an running then once again lol

Coilovers are any suspension setup that is a coil-over-shock design. So technically the stock suspension is a coilover too. Ya know, if you wanna get technical. ;) Even the MacStruts on the 1g and 2g are technically coilovers.
Though admittedly, I know the term is more popularly used for aftermarket suspension upgrades. Just bein' a pain. :)

Starts runs for 1 min then idles then dies. Then wont crank again . Has a walbro pump an I installed new filter today since I have a gauge an it was getting 5psi an when it primes sounds weak . So idk if its a man relay or pump. But I have good spark . No more cel lol.
Tomorrow going to check power an grounds on pump an main relay see what's going on.

Well I couldn't hold back I took the main relay out in 5 minutes an open it up looks good so going to check power at pump. If I'm getting 13v then pump is trash. Walbro man I tell you
You sure u dont have a fake one? They look EXACTLY the same and the only way too tell the diff.is to install and prime or disassemble the pump and see the build quality/parts.

I think you should put that in your build thread so that when ppl are going through it they know they must upgrade the gauge cluster to get rid of the vss code.

Well tested my temp sending you it has not passed specs 49-32 ohms engine temp an 142 ohms cold. I'm at 187 ohm now an would not pass 73 . So I can see why my gauge not working lol.

k sports will be needed.
ill will be doing the odyssey pc680mjt MJT is metal jacket so i wont need that special holder ill use the jackit as a holder cheaper,cleaner. getting rid of the rear batter. going for the clean look oem style. no more rice bs lol.
What's your compression? the PC680MJT is a 220CCA battery, which, yes brand new will do the job. But you hear all these guys talking about "Make sure you keep it charged or it wont start your car." is a bunch of BS. Its a gel battery, it will stay charged fine on its own. The reason it won't start your car is because it is VASTLY under-rated for most of us.

Actually a strut is the alternet when it comes to coilover suspensions as it plays double duty in mounting the upper part of the suspension also. A true coilover is only a shock and spring and was introduced long before the strut. Oh sorry to but in Rendon but damn nice job on the car. Cant wait to see it in action.

So, I'm not sure if you'd have any issues with it. I have been running a PC925 for a few years now and it has been really good and I have a pretty decent stereo too.

Little update. As you know I'm using my stock pump which is not enought for high revs I got a habit getting in it an just dont want to risk damaging nothing so I put her up for the winter early.
Going to install a fuel pump relay kit an getting a fuel pump 255lph both from xenocron . Putting the fuel pump relay would give me full 14 volts which not only would I get true voltage to the pump but also prolong the life of the pump by supplying it with the voltage it was suppose have. Ill do a how to on that so for those that want to have the info an pics needed.
I tested the power output which I was getting 11.35v (when I had a no start) cranking an cranking an finally figured it out. it was my pump . So I think that reading was from the battery Beening low plus it's in the back .
I'm also putting the battery back up front just don't like the setup I have.

Seems like a have a ground issue. When I have lights on heater going an stereo going its fine till I stop then it idle fine then drop then pick up then drop stumble then pick up. This was going in with my a20 as well I taught it was just the motor. Need to do a voltage drop an see what's going on. I have good grounds. Harness ground is on the intake runnier . That's the know ground I think that is shitty.
Performed a voltage drop. I had a good ground. the engine bay harness ground wasnt great. was getting .2 which wasnt up to my standards lol. moved that ground to the alt bracket an put valve cover ground to the strut tower. best ground ever.
fixed my rear sensors and no more lamp out light in dash.
Replaced fuel sender unit with a used one and same issue with the bouncy fuel needle. Ill just leave it lol.
Can a moderator sticky this in the general engine swaps? I believe this is a good thread that qualifies. Josh has updated his first page to include everything he used to make the swap possible. It is also a very current swap.
