Double din Radio install.
Due to limitations the Android tablet did not work out, so I shelled out the cash for a double din pioneer avh-x2500bt. I like this radio because the AppRadio feature works really well with the iPhone. Currently working on the bezel, but here is a shot of what I have so far.

Re: Double din Radio install.
Not happy with the final product, the paint it to glossy to match all the factory black plastic. Also some pits that need to be fixed.

Re: Double din Radio install.
How do you like it with it located so far down? When I had my carputer down there.. well its a 1g with a 2g center console but the location is basically the same I find it hard to use/look without taking my eyes off the road for a lot longer than I liked :\
Nice work with the bezel though! Plastic welding?
Re: Double din Radio install.
Looks great! Very nice work on the bezel. No one uses cassettes anymore, but that cassette holder is still the handiest thing, isn't it?

Its not to bad, with the iphone integration. Most of the controls are voice controllable, and it has an external Mic! Started with plastic welding, then bondo to fill in the rest lol.

Thanks, and they really are versatile!
Re: Double din Radio install.
Wish my voice control would work properly. That and I hate trying to talk to my car. It just felt... weird.
I still want your cluster fml
Re: Double din Radio install.
i was thinking about doing the same thing. That way I can place the gauges where the stock deck goes when I boost the car

It's really the perfect size for a double din, I'd like to look into having a shield to hide the it at night.

No updates yet. I used plastic welding, and bondo to fill in the gaps.
