    Help

    I am due for an oil change & tranny fliud change!! Does the tranny fliud have to be Honda brand? if so, where can I get it? Also PS sterring Fluid, where can i get that?

    you can probably go to any honda dealer and get all that stuff, but i dont think it has to be a special brand or anything

    btw... mat, the hell are you doin up at 6:50 man? lol

    For the tranny fluid you should use Castol Dexron, 10w-30 oil, and Prestone PS fluid.......well thats what i use anyway

    for manual trans i used castrol syntec 10W-30. and for PS you have to use HONDA power steering. it says in the manual. if you don't you will damage it.

    shit your right about the PS fluid, but i havent experienced any problems

    The Honda Transmission fluid is expensive but thats the only stuff i have used and had to buy it too many times when i had tranny problems with my other accord. I may try some other stuff when i do a swap but dont know.

    just get it from Wal mart. It is the Quakerstate brand. It should say, for honda and acura that use Dexron II.

    u can buy the ps fluid at wal-mart, and it is for honda'a... it's not expensive at all.... it works great too... hope that helps
    I will alwayz drive my 3rd gen Accord, ya'll will neva c me driving a 4 door Ford.. lol

    yeah, you totally have to make sure the ps fluid is honda compatable, if you dont itll leak like a mofo cuz it kills the seals. As for ATF the honda stuff is best, but any dex II or III will work. Even tho the honda automatics hold like 8 or so qts of tranny oil, youll only be able to get about 2 quarts out at a time, kinda diluting it when you change it
