    Chevy Engines

Is it possible to drop a 350, or a 305, or whatever (I dont even know what all those number mean) into a 3G?
Everyone around here talks about putting 350's in their stangs and stuff..... are these engines universal or sumthing......? They seem like theyre easy(er) to swap..............

    :lol

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN SMOKIN!? :smokin:

It is damn hard to put a 350 in a Honda, being as you have to convert to rear wheel drive, and then make custom mounts and steering and all that nonsense.

Maybe it's not you smokin, but your buds who have been telling you that stuff.
Good bye to the 1989 DX Type R. Hello 2001 LX.

Haha, it's possible, but you better have a shitload of money and time. It's a honda, so why not stick with honda motor swaps?

For an older domestic, the engine displacements were given in cubic inches. To get to the more familiar (to you) liter units, divide the cu. in. given by 61. That should give the approximate displacement in liters. Anyone who puts a Chevy motor in a Mustang needs to be taken behind a barn and be spoken to; and don't even get me started on the Chevy into Pontiac swaps. Talk about ruining a car.

If you did get crazy ideas about a V8 swap, forget about ever turning a corner at speed again. Too much weight in front. If your crazy about a V8 in a light car, look an old RWD Nova or Fox mustang coupe.

Another route would be a Plymouth Duster with a 440. Or you could be a hardass and build a solid roller 340.

There's a reason that the import business is booming right now: because they are good cars. Putting a Chevy engine into a Honda would totally ruin it. Not only that, but do you know how big a 350 is? It'd stick out the top of the hood, and maybe through the firewall.

you could do it if you had the cash but it wouldn't be worth it. BMS is right, you don't need that thing in a honda, they are good enough already. if you did want to do a swap, put in another honda engine.
