updates to my 89 Lxi. I also added auto door locks. it took time confugering the brackets to hold the motors in the door openning cut outs, but it done. i used soft 11/2 aluminum from Lowes. bent it in a vice so the motor rod end peeped through the door cut outs. Then i attached the rods. dismounted both doors to rout wires through harnesses. did the same for turn light mirror wires.

you know you could have added the factory lock actuators to the existing door latch right? the screw holes and everything are there. It's hatch backs and I believe coupes that are missing the notch in the door beam for the motor to clear, if you were to take out a door latch, you would see there's an actuator slot on the side of the latch, and a plate with two threaded holes, any of the factory power door lock motors will attach right to it, even the hatch backs have this, there is just no room in those doors for the actuator motor

Looks very similar to how I did mine when I did my alarm system. Very nice. And cheap is always a plus.

This kit came with remotes and has leads to connect to an alarm system. I use the alarm to open and added domelight asst. when i start the engine the doors lock automatily.
I understood from various post on this site that there were no other lock assy that would fit in place like that factory ones.
