    LED washers

    Hey guys,
I have those blue LED washers on my car and I love em.
I even hooked them up to the turn signals and it was bad ass.
But last night I got pulled over.
The cop was a real smart ass about it to.
"What you think your a cop now?" and he made me cut the power wire.
So now I am wanting to make them white. I know they are cheap but does anyone know where I can find white replacement bulbs that size?

IMO those things are ricey as hell, but it's your car. Most home improvement places sell LEDs, although I have never seen white ones there. I've also seen single LEDs for sale on Ebay, but those might not be any cheaper then getting whole new washers. Other than that, I don't know.

i don't know much about LEDs, but i think that the color has something to do with more than just the bulb, so you have to buy new ones. get the opionion of somebody with more experience and knowledge first. the yellow and clear ones are the only legal ones. in New Jersey you would have gotten pulled over a while ago.

Although I'm not quite sure what you mean, the color has to do with the whole LED (they aren't actually bulbs, they are "light emitting diodes"), although white ones are harder to find because they are relatively new technology (compared to red and blue), and so will probably be more expensive. All you need to be able to change it is the "diodes" and the wires coming off of it:

the washers are chrome with a clear thing in the front and leds in them. i took mine apart after getting 10+ warnings for them. i just put the led's under my dash shining on my pedals.

as for the LEDs, white ones cost about 250% more than blue or red ones and i have seen some yellow ones but i forgot to look at the price. go to radio shack. thats where i get all my LEDs and wires and shit.
