That's actually a pretty sweet idea. It's about the right size to put a little screen in there.

what im gonna do to mine is put some switches and gauges into a custom thing to fit where the cassette holder goes. i am pretty good with making custom fit stuff out of plastic. i think i will go to a hardware store like Home Depot to get some plastic. then i can always paint it to match everything. i was also thinking of taking the bottom part where the cigarette lighter and ash tray goes out. i dont smoke in my car so it has no use. i would need some time to work on it though. maybe a TV monitor would be cool to install down there.

I too do not use the ash tray. And my cig lighter is useless. I was thinkong of pulling those out and going another inch or two on the monitor. Planning on wiring aux. cig lighter for ,later neon?, for my cell phone car charger.

That is a first gen Accord manual boot. It pretty much just fit without any modification. I took off the console and it bolted right up. I now have a 3rd gen prelude shift handle on there as well. I'll post a pic of that later today.

    Talking tape holder

I was able to convert my tape holder in to a housing for my cd-player and my EQ- it looks great- with the cd player being down below I was able to cut out the ash tray and ciggarette lighter to mold my tv screen into the hole I created
