Angry My Temp Gauge Was In The Red

I was just driving around today and and every now and then I look at the gauges and I see my temp gauge about 2mm away from the red I was like and pulled over looked under my bonet and it was boiling. I waited for it to cool down and kept driving and has not boiled again, so what was wrong why did it boil for no reason?? I was only driving in town so about 50KMH and it was about 32 degrees.

Your thermostat might be stuck closed or open, You might need a new water pump, You might need to add coolant, Your cooling system might need flushing, you might need a new radiator cap.

about a month ago I flushed out the cooling system, added new coolant, put in a new thermostat (and seal), put in a new thermostat housing.

temp switch turns the fan on when the coolant is at a certain temperature, some of you guys call it temp sensor. So your fan turns on, but when? Bleed the cooling system again to make sure no air is inside. The other possibility is a defective temp sender for the gauge. Test the gauge by grouding the wire for the temp sender. If the gauge moves all the way up, then the gauge is okie, that means probably the temp sender is the culprit.
