New guy trying to trouble shoot 88 accord lxi starting problem

Hi I'm new to this forum but have been reading posts from google searches for awhile, would have signed up sooner but couldn't figure out how to translate Hebrew, lol. I have an 88 accord lxi that randomly wont start. sometimes it wont start out of the box but when you come back later it just starts. sometimes it starts but if you shut it off and say run into the mini mart and come back two minutes later it won't start. wait 15 or 20 minutes and it starts up again. now just recently it stalls and then wont start. come back later and good to go again. sometimes the Pgfi light comes on and sometimes it doesn't ,seems to run the same either way. I can start it in the driveway and let it run for hours , no stall , shut it off and restart 50 times. Yesterday I started it and drove 2 1/2 miles shut it off and it wouldn't restart. Came back a few hours later and it started drove home and restarted at least 6 times. Im afraid to go very far , mostly worried it will stall in traffic and not start like at an intersection. I can hear the pump cycle when the key is turned on and recently changed the filter which was plugged, changed the plugs that looked fine but did make it run better but didn't fix the random no start. also just fixed a ton of exhaust leaks, manifold gasket, pipe to manifold ,flex joint and fixed a hole in the front pipe where the hanger bracket pulled out. All made it run smother and quieter but still has random no starts. Weather doesn't seem to be a factor either, hot cold wet ,dry same thing. I wonder about bad connections? Flooding? I checked compression 120lbs all 4 cylinders. Any thoughts appreciated. Just learned how to check codes so if any come up I will post them. Thanks.

Check your main relay. It's probably the cause of your problem.

Under the dash, left of the fusebox. It's a bit hard to locate.

It's a classic Honda problem of that era.
