    The fuel tank is divided into portions. When the liquid (fuel) is waving these pipes help to compensate. Air flows in them.

    There is a fuel filter right next to fuel tank. In the engine bay was changed but here always forgotten. This care the fuel pump. Fortunately fuel pump is working fine. (Fuel pump is Mitsubishi brand - I dont know is it OEM or not?)
    So here is a fuel filter inside after 32 years

    I think they are saying the extra tubes prevent vaporlock.

    All that rust is sitting in the fuel tank too.

    When I removed the fuel tank tried to shake and pour out. The fuel was clean. There where no rust in it. If remained in few than the new fuel filter will solve.
