Here are the pictures of what the throttle linkage looks like now. You can see that it lines up really well, almost perfect. And you can also see why I had to use the angle grinder to trim the Keihin linkage to fit next to the Weber parts.

removed part from old carb, drilled hole in it so I could attach it with short 1/4 bolt w/ lock nut and chevy valve cover retainer. Slid it on the 38 shaft. This is the only way to truely get full throttle opening from the pedal and at the same time have unbinding return so you get full closed throttle so the idle jets pull exclusively from the transistion holes. Much better performance when they do.

That's basically what I did, grats!

Awesome! Yeah Ive had my 38 on both a 5 speed car and an auto, the benefits were much more noticeable on the 5sp bone stock a20a. On the automatic car it was super relevant to have the linkage perfect so it returned closed without delay because of the trans valve body control connected to the pedal. That car would roast the tires effortlessly from a dead stop in Drive, without preloading the TC to build rpm...just dumping the throttle from idle Not a good thing but fun lol but that is about the only time the 38 impressed me on the auto car.
On the 5 speed the 38 allowed the engine to consistantly pull up from low rpm in any gear, making it very pleasant in traffic and allowing the car to run fast without having to rev it up..pull steep grades without downshifting as well.
