Thread: Rpm ?

    Rpm ?

My RPM stays on 2 when I first start it, 10 minutes later it drops down back to 1. Is that normal?

It is controlled by the high idle on the choke with the carburetor. Do you have an auto or 5 speed? It is made to idle high for a bit before it is warmed up. You can make it not do it if you push the gas pedal half way down a release real quick. Just try that and see if it helps. I've been stuck for the last two weeks on my car trying to fix an idle issue where it stays at 2300 RPMs at all times and never goes down, but at least yours drops after a while.
