I think my coupe's drowning... WTF...

yeah, I was driving home tonight in the rain, and it felt like it was lacking a little of it's normal "spunk", but as soon as I approached a hill, I realized it was more then just lacking. The fucker almost died on me. So I'm going up the hill and she's slowing down, so I downshift to 4th (I'm at 60mph btw) stomp it, and nothing. She felt like she was choking. So I'm like FUCK YOU, and pull it into 3rd (now at like 57-8 mph.) tak shows around 4500 (so I should have plenty of power right; ...wrong). Then she's like cough, cough, power surge, cough... I pulled into a rest stop, popped the hood thinkin I may be able to see something out of the ordinary.. NOPE! So I let her sit, rev the shit out of it on and off for about 10 mins. and venture forth. She had power, but as soon as I hit one of those "wash's in the highway".... ...blah... she's doggin' it again.

Any ideas? maybe the plug wires? I'm confused.

What are you trying to say? I know about LX, LXi, SEi but I know nothing about DX.

Ok, it is a valid question then...

...all DX and LX are carbed (hence the lack of the "-i")
...all LX-i and SE-i are EFI

If its cold, and its rainy, our cars run RICH as shit. My car did it today too.......its getting to much gas for some reason. IM not sure why, but it will bog hardcore..no power style. I came back 7 hours later, and it ran perfect...still cold and rainy..im not sure!

The stuff I have to put up with, sigh. But the fun of being on the board is to make fun of and be made fun of.

I have no idea what would do that, unless you have a flipped lid and water gets up in there.

    Talking

I know that there is an airjet controller that varies the amount of air going to the jets depending on barometric pressure. The problem is that they go bad all the time and no one seems to know how to fix them. even the dealer won't touch it. Get a webber

my car did that on 2 occasions, both in the rain. i checked the wires, took out a plug, everything looked good. now it hasn't done it in like a month. i would say check your wires, cap and rotor, and then drive your car off a cliff.
