The mods I gad on the car when I ran it on the Dyno was Weapon R intake, OBX muffler, no resinator, MSD wires, MSD 6a box, and MSD blaster ss coil.

When I drove this car before I bought it, and before it ran the rebuilt engine, and how my car performs now, is a big difference.
Before: A20A3 with 240,000 miles
Now: Totally Rebuilt BT, 70,000 miles
Im tempted to go get a dyno and see how badly it actually sucks.

so are you dissapointed in it now, or before?Originally posted by Project-LXi

lol, you can see on the dyno graph that I had NO power gains after 4500 rpm.... 2000 RPM lost down the toilet!!!
I may get it dyno tested this spring since I solved all the problems it has. I should have more....
Anyway, it's better than stock. With my 16 inch wheels, I reached the stock power rating at around 4700instead of 5500

The A20 just doesn't seem to make much power after 4,500-5,000 RPM's

i would cry if my car is below 100 hp at the wheels. an di know it probably is. i'm scared to get dynoed now because i dont want to see those low results.
Now:
-1988 Honda Prelude custom
-1988 Honda Accord (to be fixed and sold)
Soon:
-some big 4x4 truck
-91 Acura NSX

I'm pretty sure if you have over 100,000 miles on it it's gonna be pretty low. New, the car only had around 105 at the wheels for an LX-i

Maybe the accords seem quicker because of the gear ratios. I dont know what they are but, I do know I can do 0-60 in 8 seconds! thats as fast as my mommy's 96 240sx. I even raced a 96 mustang GT and we were side by side, that was after the first 100 feet (that i was ahead)... if you dont believe me, we got it on video.
oh, and maybe your neon feels slow because IT IS SLOW! haha, nah my friend has a neon, it's aight. r/t's are tight though.
Let's see the video of that race. I'd like to see a 3rd gen race a Mustang GT.

Oh dont get me wrong, I am not dissapointed in it now! It is quite zippy, but Im sure I would get low dyno results just like everyone else. I'll get the thing dyno tested right before I swap it, then I can have really impressive before and after dyno results. But until that day comes, ignorance is blissOriginally posted by Grant2k

well are the ratings for our cars from Honda at the wheels or the flywheel? if they are at the flywheel than all of our cars are probably below 100hp. didn't somebody say (i think justanothermike) that they dynoed a stock Civic Si and only 127 at the wheels?Originally posted by Jerren

hey carotman, was that dyno test after the efi conversion and yoru Dc header and ur muffler or was it before on your carb?
it was after the efi conversion, but like I said, I was using the carbed distributor bracket, (which it not good at all, since the most advance I could give was still retarded timing lol)
I did have the DC header tough.
