-----> The second Megasquirt Group Buy will begin in early June 2002.
There will be an announcement of it on the website and on the
Yahoo MS Users Group. At that time all who plan to buy MUST sign up on
a NEW webpage which will be designated. What you previously signed up
for was to be notified of the Group Buy and to give us some idea of how
many people were interested. This will stay up another few weeks, but
when
the GB starts, you must go to an order page (under development) and
sign up
there (with name, address, qty, etc). Also, the new page will compute
correct
postage, and give you a final amount to send in.)

The new buy will be similar to the old, with only a small increase
in base
price (estimate is $110). The new buy will include hardware and software
upgrades,
based on the experience of users who bought in on the first GB, to make
the
system more robust and better able to handle the wide range of vehicles
out there, and the wide range of users with varying expertise from
beginners to experienced professionals. In particular, a new firewall
or engine mounted relay board which will make MS install much easier and

more foolproof, will be offered as an option. Other new options will be

PCB boards sold by themselves and John's schematic plots. As before,
a stimulator kit, with improvements as discussed in the archives, will
also
be an option.

Since the basic MS system was found to be very sound, it remains
unchanged to the extent that the old users can pretty much upgrade their

hardware by simply soldering in some additional diodes, if they are
found
to be needed, and downloading the new code from the web. These
upgrades have not yet been finalized, but you can get a good idea of
them
from the archives of the Yahoo MS Users Group. Please don't email me
asking what they are.

that was a direct cut and paste from a personal email sent to me. hope that was the information you are looking for. AND i am realy gald to see that someone else is interested in this product. everyone else will have to drool at are hardcore computers and only wish that they could of bought one.

hey thank rallyenate.....keep me informed on this...did you think of buiding your own? need to find some techies on electronics to do that but i mean if you look at it there doesnt seem to be to hard....o well i would love to get my hands on one but i dont have the cash.....but anyway thakns

doesnt see to be all that complexed and yes i will buy one. it looks like the price will be under $150, so between now and june i should be able to save that amount
