    Weird transmission problem

My son's 89 Accord Lxi transmission is acting weird. I just bought it recently and it had been sitting for a year or so and everything works fine except for the tranny. Driving at a steady speed of 55 mph or so when you give it throttle it's like the torque converter locks up. Once you let off the gas, it seems the torque converter is unlocking. It seems as it is constantly locking and unlocking depending on throttle input. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I haven't changed the fluid yet which will be my first stab at hopefully helping the issue.

Download the manual (http://geminiwebhosting.ca/1989AccordServiceManual.pdf) and do some reading on the TV cable (p. 15-90).

That did it. I adjusted the cable per the manual and it works normal now. Thanks for the link!

Yep, I'm probably going to keep this one for a long time and fix it up. It had been sitting for a while so it needs just a little work. Here it is in all it's glory. Don't laugh too hard, I only gave $50 for it
