    blowing fuses

In my 89 accord, everytime i take off, and squeal my tires, it blows a fuse. The fuse is what controls my dash lights and my tail lights. It just started when i had to put another trunk on it. The tail lights are different, my stock ones had driving and break lights in the trunk, the new trunk just as driving so it makes my breaK lamp light come on on the dash. Can anybody help???

Any body damage in the rear? and any body damage in the front? could have crossed wires (usual cause for blown fuses)

It could be your voltage regulator or alternator.
Does the alternator make noise? Do the headlights "flare" on acceleration?
If so I'd maybe get those two checked out.

noi have no lose wires. I have already checked. but the thing is that it just started happening with my new lid. Like i said though, the lights are different so.... . And yes there wuz a sound coming from my alternator and my headlights and heater and everything get brighter and blows more when i give it gas. I think i am burning up my alternator. thanks

hmmm...brushes affect voltage output....regulator limits the voltage
you say alternator was making a noise....does it sound like a bearing noise?

I had the same problem and it was a loose wire in the center of the dash which had been cut by the previous owner and grounded out which almost caught my car on fire. You would know if any of the dash lights were out like the glove box.

The new trunk lid, or old should i say, but the one i put on has lights on the lid that are just driving lights. My original lights had driving lights and break lights on the lid. When i changed the lid, my light on the dash came on and it said i had a break lamp out. Now i am blowing my dash lights and tail lights when i peal out. I just find it coinsidential how that happens.
