    what is this wtfery?

My car is starting to do it itself waaaaaayyyyyy more here recently. When you choose whether you want just floor vents or the defroster, any button to change which vents the air comes out of...sometimes it correctly changes immediately, sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes before it changes, as well at times it won't change at all my entire trip. Sometimes it goes full retard and just constantly switches between vent options on its own for up to 5 minutes before it stops, all without ever touching any buttons. Where do i even begin with this extremely annoying issue?

So tired of pushing defrost vent option and getting no change. and i'm fed up with having to scrape the frost/ice off here lately.

you need a new function motor or control, it's controlled by a servo motor on the side of the heat air box, I have a pushbutton control somewhere if you need it, no use for it as I have lever controls

I would first check the LXI HVAC controls for any issues, use a multi meter and check the HVAC controls and see if you get the same results as the manual indicates. If the HVAC selector is ok then move on. As always with electrical make sure the grounds are ok and rule out wire shorts / opens.
    Good luck!

After looking at the electrical manual, I've discovered nearly everything I'm having issues with is connected to the same ground located on the driver side, to the right of the steering column under the dash. Going to check Two different grounds in the same area and hopefully solve this intermittent issues that has plagued me for around a year.(I know, shoulda already figured this out. But, w/o A/C, you tend to forget about these things until you need heat. Now it's time to get off my lazy ass and figure it out...of course, once i leave work that is.)

Can't locate ground G201. It's not where the manual says and pictures. These work intermittently:
    -Blower fan
    -Door Dinger
    -Lighting dinger
    -Seatbelt dinger
    -Vent options

I did notice that the blower fan short may be in the switch. You can bump the key toward the starter and it may start working.
