Bitter cold Canadian winter has got the best of my door locks

    Hi,

So the cold has got the best of my door locks on my 82 accord. I've broken something, but don't know what yet. All I can see is the plastic tab to lock and unlock on the drivers door has broken. I don't know if any internal components have broken. Does anyone have any idea if there are interchangeable parts from other years or models for this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Curtis

Back in 1982, Honda only sold two cars. The Accord and the Civic. The Prelude was originally a Civic coupe. The Accord is so much larger that I doubt any parts at all exchange between the doors. You're also looking at a time of a strong Japanese economy, so everything change with the previous and next generations. You're looking at parts from only a second-generation Accord, and probably only from the hatch models as the doors are shorter in the sedans.
