    Help ME DECIDE!

    Hey Guys,
Well I need some help deciding on what part I should get for my LS/VTEC swap.

    Part #1
    Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel $289 shipped

    OR

    Part#2
Eagle H Beam Forged Rods $300-350 depending where I get them

I am leaning towards the rods, but that $289shipped for the flywheel is the best price I have seen lately.

Rods. Build engine, get flywheel later.

If you get the rods you got to redo the engine too. That would mean another 600-800 dollars on to that price.

If the block you got is in good shape just use that and find another block to build. Remember if you get the rods=downtime.

Aluminum is an engines best friend. You feel a big difference in pickup right away with the flywheel.

The choice all depends in which way your headed, funds, (of course) and how quickly you want to get back on the road.

I have no problem taking the engine down because I have to put my Arias 11:1 pistons in.

Well if youre going to break it down anyway for the slugs, put rods in too. Saves you some time and effort later.

Go for the rods then. If you have enough money do both, go for it
