Well, I just bought my B20A manual Transmission (oh yeah)
I got the B2K5 Model (came from a Gold Top B20A)
I was wondering if anyone had the gear ratio for both of these transmissions?!?!

2nd 1.857
3rd 1.259
4th 0.967
5th 0.794

BTW, the ratios are the same for all B2K5's whether it came from an Accord or Prelude.
No idea about the F2K5.

I have a b20a, and I have higher RPM in every gear than my buddy with his 92 GSR w/ys1 tranny. Those gear ratios are:
3.307
2.105
1.459
1.107
.875
reverse: 3.00
final 4.40
I don't know any way that we could possibly have gears that are that much longer than the ys1... His slightly larger rims and tires can't be completely making up the difference. I don't know if I believe those gear ratio numbers. I would like to test them when I take my tranny apart this next winter..
bury the bach.

Still nobody knows the difference between the b2k5 and the f2k5 B20A gearboxes. I now own both boxes. Wonder if theres a difference in the lengths of the gears
I know that my digi dash is accurate on the f2k5 and its 10 km/h out on the b2k5 lol
There is a difference in the ratios between the two trannys but I dont know the numbers for the F2K5. Someone take one apart and count the teeths. No? :)
i blew one a while back. man it was a cunt to get apart to strip it down for scrap lol
why did they change the gearbox between 86 and 88 i wonder.. probably so the underpowered craptop (blacktop) could still propell the car haha
