    CJS wiring OBD1/Vtec B swap wire harness.

    Thats right guy's it time to replace those 27 year old engine harnesses of ares and Carlos from cjswiring is just then man to help us.

    Now let get right to it. You'll have your work cut out for you as this will be a DIY wire harness kit. That means you have put it together(make your own). So this will not be for the faint of heart and you'll need to have a bit of knowledge of wiring. However it's a the best way to get a price that everyone can afford.

    There will be two options. Option A) will be an affordable basic kit for $240 shipped and will ship with in a week.
    In the kit you will receive all of this.

    325' Tefzel Wire, Assorted Sizes & Colors. normally include 10ft of wire lengths. Genealogy more than enough for A and B series Harness ends up being 8ft max depending on chassis and routing.

    25' Raychem DR25 Assorted Sizes

    Raychem ATUM 4:1 Glue Shrink Assorted Sizes

    Labels

    Generic Crimp/Splice & Ring Terminals

    Sensor Terminals/Seals, ECU Terminals

    HARNESS CONNECTOR LIST:
    • Oil Pressure Sending Unit
    • Knock Sensor(Round Style)
    • Intake Air Temperature (Intake Manifold Style)
    • Oxygen Sensor (Primary 4 Wire)
    • Alternator
    • Injector 1-4
    • MAP Sensor
    • TPS (Throttle position)
    • Idle Control Motor
    • Electronic Speed Sensor
    • Ground
    • Fan Switch
    • OBD1 Distributor plugs
    • h20 Sending Unit (for Gauge Cluster)

    Opinion B is everything in opinion a but with a mili spec firewall bulk head plug. No fire wall plate included(but available at a additional cost). This will run $440 shipped and will take a little longer as he will have to order the mili spec plugs as the orders come. Still about two week's.

    I'm sure you guys will have questions for on how everything will work and all that. I will try my best to answer all of your questions as they pop up.

    His site is where you can buy one. Just tell him you want the DIY kit for the accord. I will be get mine(mili spec) in about two weeks. You guy's can places orders now or wait tell I'm done with mine to see how it looks.

    This is a good deal especially for the mili-spec. you know I'm close enough to take my car and test it out.

    To be clear will all the connectors be new?

    Carlos defiantly looks like he knows what he is doing, really nice quality work here and materials used and not some half-ass rat nest. I'm very happy to see that he uses the glue heat shrink, I use it on everything at work and its excellent. Even the shielded wire splice was done cleanly. The only one pet peeve i can say here is to have more wire colors to ID the conductors better, however that would drive cost up a little bit

    Looks like a concise kit to put together and for those savvy enough in electrical, this should be a piece of cake to assemble but sounds like the adaption to the 3rd gen chassis is going to have some frustrations. Keep us updated when you get your kit!

    Yeah I try my hardest to get the best quality and a great price. And I will agree with you there will be some headache along the way but it will be worth it in the end. He has also been given me tips on how to loom everything so I'll be sure to post that information as I do mine and maybe some videos as I go along

    If you want exact oem wire colors it can be done but price of course will go up slightly. As I explained to the op, I found it easier and faster to use as less wire colors. And in milspec harness in its truest form, it's generally done this way. If not then just 1 color. Here is how I explained I do it..
    1 color for injectors to ecu
    1 color for sensor signal
    1 color for sensor grounds
    1 color for ground
    1 color for 12v
    and 1 color for 5v.


    Then I do a conitnuity test, as you should any way to ensure a proper connection, and terminate the wire as needed. Simple as that.

    Now when it's a 1 piece harness, yes I will try and use oem wire colors as its 1 piece and no obstruction between sensor lead and ecu.

    Thanks good to know. And thanks for the wiring tip. I'm sure it will help someone down the road. The key is take your time and not rush through it. It's all about being efficient and double checking your work to make sure there is not mistakes. I think for me the hardest thing will be the looming process. because I've never done anything milispec and never loomed anything that way it's gonna take a moment to get the hang of it. But what you have shared with me helped.

    If you follow my ig c_zapien I post a lot of up to the minute harnesses that make. So you can see how it's done. I don't so it with evert harness as it takes up time taking pics. But you will get the idea

    finally someone who actually who gave a short concise accurate answer lol. Exactly when it comes to sensors a single unbroken wire connection is the best, most people don't realize at a connector they can have an appreciable ohmic increase if the connection isn't good. I look forward to seeing more

    They will be on sale for a while. Mine will be more of a test to see how Hard it is to do yourself and make to sure that everything need is there. You always have u the option of him put it together for a additional cost as well.

    I constantly stock the plugs, pins, wire and seals. The quick disconnect I do tend to stock a few on hand, but generally order them as they are needed. So if the quick disconnect is something you want give a boutique a week for it to arrive then ship out as a package.
