    whats the difference?

im looking into buying some webers but im not really sure what im looking for...so i got a couple of questions for those who know:

    1. Whats the difference between sidedraft and downdraft?
    2. Which is better?
    3. What is the real performance difference between 40's and 45's?

im asking because of an ebay auction i saw

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3102117758

from what i can see right now...seems like a pretty good price.

well i would sugest a down draft kit from NOPI or some other place... they give a good boost in pwer, plus u dont have to worry about fuckin up the intake u have to custom make for the side drasts... i have a 32/36 downdraft and i love it...

Um, well, you gotta have an intake manifold made for those, and the downdraft (DGV 32/36 kit) has an adapter that fits our stock manifolds.
Good bye to the 1989 DX Type R. Hello 2001 LX.

They are aftermarket carbs for our cars. You don't have a carb so don't worry. And it's Weber. The best place to get them is www.carbsunlimited.com They match and beat prices I got mine for $330. They work like a normal carb. Downdraft = air gets suck downwards. Sidedraft = air gets sucked in from the side. And you will get about 15-20% hp gain with a full Weber conversion kit.

dxhatchback, I noticed you're up in north bay... I was wondering if you experienced any cold weather problems with the weber?

Also do you have emmissions testing up there? Did it pass emissions testing?
