power steering pump seal not available

I really hate asking this, but... one of the seals for rebuilding a power steering pump is no longer available. It's the plunger seal, part # 91307-PH1-004. I'm assuming this is an important seal but correct me if I'm wrong. Is this seal available in an aftermarket kit to anyone's knowledge? I asked a guy at the local parts house... crickets.

The rest of the O-rings/seals are attainable and listed here:

    91370-SB3-950 $1.24
    91316-PB2-003 $1.49
    91201-PC1-003 $4.61
    91303-PH1-004 (2 needed) $3.44
    91322-PH1-004 (2 needed) $1.76

I'm hesitant to buy a rebuilt pump for fear it'll be the wrong pump and/or will fail in a year. Mine works great just leaks a bit.

Seems the seal is included with the aftermarket kit. Hate using aftermarket seals but oh well.

I think I got a rebuild kit at advance, worked fine but one normal O ring was the wrong size, I just went to Nappa and got one to replace it

I wouldn't worry too much about the aftermarket seal. If the old and new look the same, you'll be fine.

I had Napa try to give me some really squirrelly seals once. They looked like this:

When Honda's seals looked like this:

I gave the counter guy the stink eye and he sheepishly replaced them with the proper seals.

Good to know . Wish me luck... Rebuilding it this weekend. You wouldn't believe the amount of power steering fluid that has sprayed everywhere. The wheel well, underside of the car. A mess.

Re: power steering pump seal not available

Installed new seals successfully. The kit from Rock Auto had all the correct O-rings and seals. Took about 2 hours to remove the pump, break it down and clean it, install new seals, reassemble, and reinstall. Siphoned all of the old fluid out of the reservoir and refilled with Honda fluid. Installed new belt. No fuss, no muss. An somewhat easy job start to finish. No more leaking. Again, I couldn't have done it without this forum. Ryan
