    Talking New with old school

    Hello.

    Name is Jay and I recently just bought a 88 Accord (which I'm in love with) and joined this site to keep you guys posted, as well as gain info and New friends on the build. I was told this Site was full of info as well as people that love and are truly enthusiast about working with these vehicles. Look forward to chatting with you guys. Thanks for looking.

    Neat little old car. Clean. Picked it up for $1000. Only two owners. Runs rough. Has a little bit of a fuel leak, and one of the fuel jets wasn't squirting. I'm pretty sure it's going to need a carburetor. But I'm pretty excited about getting it going.

    That looks almost exactly like my car when I first got it in 2006 w/ 275,000+ miles.!

    Thanks. I've got a lot of plans for it. I've got a 00 Honda Civic si that I'm thinking about pulling apart and swapping the motor and such into this car. I think it'll be a neat deal.

    Going from carb to efi is tough... check out carotman's website for details, but IMO, it's easier to just get an efi 3g...

    Looks like a pretty good starting point. The Civic Si engine sounds intriguing but the amount of work involved makes my head hurt. LOL. Welcome!
