    Temp Gauge

Ok my car has had some major engine cooling problems in the past, now I think i've gotten most of them cleared up here but this. My engine will heat up to 3/4 on the temp gauge then at 3/4 the fans promptly come on and cool it down until a little over the half way point. Im sure that this is normal operation but it only happens when you change a honda sensor to an aftermarket sensor. Which sensor is it? and where is it located? Thanks.

For carb I think it's below the intake manifold. Short it, if the fan turns on, then you found it. Safer still, unplug it, if the fans doesn't turn on, then that's the one since you know you have a working fan and sensor. But don't quote me on this, I haven't work on 3geez carb b4.

the sensor on the rad is to turn the cooling fans on/off. its hooked ot the relay on the passenger side engine compartment.

the coolant temp sensor for instrument cluster is on the intake manifold, underneath. Kind of a pain to get to.
